It is easy to know and Operators were happy on that.

a. Number of shares outstanding : AT isappro 3.4Billion and Careplus is 550 million or AT have 6.2 times the number of shares as compared to Careplus.

Most employees who participate in esos won't sell it immediately. They will hold on for the big jackpot like the rest of us too. And esos is not free share. It comes from 5% of their salary on monthly basis and that's how it pays for the share to the employees. Only difference is they do enjoy a certain discount to the market price. Yes right, all ESOS has their own terms including holding / vesting period that define the holding duration before the share can be dispose. It also usually define the disposal method, i.e. to sell back to company only.

Normally, ESOS is issued with a heavy discount, but in AT case 0.085 compared to open market price of 0.090 ~ 0.10 is not really that much. 100mil ESOS shared by 1,000 employees is not really that much and Directors / Snr Management / Managers / Supervisors usually get higher allocation, but it is still a paid share at the same rate.

Perhaps can look at it like this. If I have been given an ESOS at 8.5 sen. The market price now is 12 sen. Then I sell it to make 3.5 sen rather to make lost when the price drop below 8.5 sen. Inevitably it prevent to price to move up further cos as the price move up the ESOS holders will sell their holdings to make quick profit. Similarly they will sell when the price move south rather to make less or in the red and have to keep the shares longer. Most of the ESOS holders I believe are not long term shares punters or investors.

ESOS is not issued to employee / directors to make a quick buck, issued today and sell tomorrow.

Before you speculate half-truth further, better to fact check on ESOS. Each company may has different terms but generally this is the definition.

ESOS is a good indicator that the Employee & Director is committed and convinced that the company is going to reap higher ROI, otherwise why should they subscribed. Any company unable to get bankoans will resort to issue warrants, rights or Esos. Not necessarily the money will be put to good use.
There are countless examples. Ganda plantations is one way back in early 2000. Permaju is most recent examples.

AT route to glove will not be smooth and easy. It may even miss the train.
