I always wonder why people didn't sell off Insas at RM1.30+ in January. Can easily buy back now so much cheaper.

Imagine 26,000 shareholders trying to get out of Insas trap, no wonder Insas cannot break out.

Mohamed Khalid confirmed that Boustead Holdings Bhd, which has been taken private by LTAT in June 2023, will sell its stake in Affin Bank Bhd to the Sarawak state government, although he did not clarify the quantum of the stake that will be divested.
He said the deal is currently pending Bank Negara Malaysia’s (BNM) approval.
“We will proceed with that (stake sale). We are just waiting for the approval from BNM. Not LTAT, but LTAT's subsidiary Boustead. LTAT will still remain in Affin Bank,” he said, confirming that LTAT will retain its stake in Affin Bank.

Why do people buy Insas at current level and get themselves trapped?

Shareholders cannot propose dividend, only directors can. Shareholders merely approve the dividend proposed by directors.

I am still waiting for Stockraider's prediction that Insas will beat Osk ( no date given---both start from 87sen
in 2022 )
That coward stockraider hiding with Leno.

The last time Insas share price touched 1.10 (and only briefly) was on 11th March. It has been 18 days. But everytime Insas touches 1.08 someone gets very excited.

I still have the contract notes when I bought my first Insas at around 65 sen and subsequent purchases below 65 sen in year 2016.

Those trapped in Insas, don't worry, I assure you, no, I guarantee you ....... one fine day Insas will go beyond RM1.35, so eventually everyone will stand to make gain. However, those trapped in Insas-WC, it will be worthless after February 2026, less than 2 years away. Don't be like Leno, trapped in Insas-WC.

After selling Insas at an average price of RM1.30 in January I used the proceeds to mainly buy KPS from 82 sen down to 74 sen (average price 79 sen). People who are trapped in Insas lose out buying other counters to generate further gains.

@MrSslee, it's obviously market inefficiency. Stock market inefficiency is how a person makes enormous gains.

When I first bought into Insas on 20th May 2016 I never dream of making a four fold gain within 8 years. A contrarian's view is always to sell off when the majority of retailers and so called stock gurus/grandmasters have gotten excited on the stock. If opportunity presents itself we can buy back way cheaper than we sold. Then we hold until the excitement takes place. After 3 cycles it turned into a four fold gain. There's no guarantee that this will be repeated again.

Insas, a name that whispers promise,
A value play, some investors entice.
But hold, dear friend, before you take the bait,
This siren song may lead to a bitter fate.
The price sits low, a number that enthralls,
A hidden gem, a bargain for all.
Yet stagnant waters, though alluring to the eye,
May hold unseen depths, where dreams can die.
Years tick by, the share price barely moves,
While others soar, a tale the market proves.
Is it a value, or a value trap so deep?
Where hopes descend, and fortunes fall asleep.
Think twice, dear friend, before you invest your trust,
In promises whispered, turning into dust.
For in the market's dance, a truth is plain to see,
Not all that glitters, is a gold

I think currently Insas has about 527 million Inari shares. Inari at say, 3.20 translates into RM1.6 billion.

@Sslee, I think if Insas cancelled the treasury shares then Thong would automatically trigger MGO. So, a waiver is still required.

Additional Cash inflow from share disposal RM 60-66m on top of recurring Q profit will further boots up INSAS cash hoard to above RM 1.2 billion in next Q. These is almost cash RM 1.80/share......
But we all know Insas will never reach RM1.80.

If one were to sell 100,000 Insas shares at 1.30 in January and buy back at 1.07 today, there's a cool RM20,000+ extra cash and you still own 100,000 shares.
