Hey Boston, I think the reason why u suddenly popped up here is bcos you are seriously considering entering Supermax after reading all the comments here. You are realizing that perhaps this is the right time after all with such good earnings and div yield ( at least 15% at current price) going forward, the risk seems low. And you are right. With so much cash in hand, very good expansion plan with additional 85% capacity to complete by end 2022, potential expansion to US and with Covid still ravaging the world , with the worst case scenario still yet to play out. I m also wondering, what can go wrong? Anyway , for me gloves investment is a good hedge against the worst case scenario of Covid.

This additional capacity may be able to offset the expected ASP drop for this qtr. Then by Sep there is additional 10% addition and by December another 10%. Likely moving into the fall and winter, the expected surge on top of overall increased in the global wide surge may put hold to further ASP drop. So we should see better results from Supermax , likely with PAT > 1b/qtr for next 4 qtrs. Assume 0.13 dividend for next 4 qtrs, at 3.1 , the div yield is 17%!! Apa lagi mau

Daily infection rates is the first sign of how much hospitalization and death to follow later. The more infection means will lead to more hospitalization and subsequent death, and glove demand will increase accordingly.

Yup pjseow, couldn't agree more with you. This guy is talking base on the shortists' narrative. These ppl have to write to justify why despite the incredible unbelievable record profit and fantastic dividend every quarter, the prices have dropped more than 70% off the peak. Nobody talks about short sellers and extreme market manipulation behind the scene. Of course many are on their payroll to peddle lies and half truth.

thanks pjseow , i agree with your analysis. I too expect that by 2Q22 Harta PAT would have almost touch the FY22 forecast of 3.89b by the analyst. As a note, your forecast assumes that Covid is receding and would be slowly under control in the next 3 qtrs. But the global trend seems to indicate that Covid may continue to wreck more havoc in many countries and that glove demand would remain elevated well into 2022. So its hard to say if ASP would drop gradually or remain flat or even increase further.

@pjseow There is a difference beyween NTA and Net Cash in Hand. NTA comprises land, buildings,machinery , cash , goodwill etc . I agreed with you that many companies could be selling below NTA when the NTA cannot generate good earnings especially those in property sectors currently. Nett Cash is a different thing. No one will sell below the nett cash per share especially the other assets are.generating huge cash in the past few qtrs and will.continue to generate in the coming.years. It will.be plain.stupxxd to do so for the seller. Supermx.is still selling more than.2x of its net.cash. From the huge earnings in this qtrs plus the coming qtrs, the net cash will.still be growing , other assets will also be growing while the supermx investors will.receive Dividend yield of more than 10 %, why should the sellers sell below the current nett cash.per share?

Nobody knows exactly what will happen in future except God. But the tell-tale sign are plenty to indicate that Covid is not going away anytime and we will have to continue to fight it, Now u have 3 huge variants to deal with Delta, Epsilon and Lambda. With the infection ravaging globally, experts are saying its inevitable a variant that totally evade all current vaccines will emerge. And I suspect, soon there will be more than one variant that will totally evade all the vaccines. Maybe soon we may be back to square one battling Covid and the world will need to rush out the latest updated booster jabs for the entire world. Imagine doing this when 3/4 of the world have yet to be vaccinated.
