FY23 say 400M. Let's see what they do. I realised they can actually pay themselves 80-100M in fees, and we can't do anything about it.

I am heavily long this stock too. But the more I think about it the way they do things is a concern
FY22 profit before tax 217M. Ballpark figure they took 50M in fees, so you add it back pbt was around 267M, of which they took 50M. That's close to 19% of pbt, for a circa 75% controlling stake

That 236 acres refer to that in Pulai only. This grossly understates KSL's johor exposure. KSL is through and through a Johor developer, then Klang. Improved connectivity to SG itself means a lot more to KSL Mall. Ordinarily it wouldn't mean much, for larger corps like SP Setia, Sunway, for instance. It's meaningful for KSL becasue it's market cap is still smallish, and the concentration in Johor exposure means the circa $100M quarterly profit could go further up. Further there's easy realisation value if they inject rental assets into a KSL REIT

Not defending KSL, but if you take 5YR avg for a Msia property counter, you will likely be misguided. That would have been among the worst 5 years in the last 2 decades. Stocks are valued on future earnings, not the past.

This time Uncle Koon's comments is actually quite fair. Value here is unmatched across all reasonably sized property counters. But there remains a problem that the shareholders are holding 75% and paying themselves 50M a year, and apparently dont care much about share price

It's noted if that someone isn't an insider, he doesnt need to declare interest even when it exceeds 5% because it's on the warrants not mother share. One can only see shareholders list when annual report is out

Who is that someone buying Yinson WA? This WA is moving in a mysterious way. There's a reasonable healthy volume, and an almost flat price regardless of macro events, regardless of mother share movement

@jackson looks like EPF doesnt have a big hand in this. From the volume so far, it also appears that the player in this counter is a smallish one, or that it has not attracted enough players. Testing patience when we see peers running. Even Econpile...HSSEB...Or the giants running like UEMS lol. I am out of UEMS to sell as of today, now if I see it go to $1.2 also can't say anything lol

Because Forest City is too big to fail. It's gonna be a drag on Johor and to an extent our National property market for decades if you let it fail. I say PMX is trying, may or may not work, but the intention is definitely right. It's probably too late to do much effectively, could have been much better, but better late than sorry eh

If you're in Yinson, you're probably in Armada Hibiscus and maybe even Dayang Uzma. Profits from there can pay for holding Yinson already

If you just look back at recent days how Hibiscus moved, it's often suppressed at a range, then once it is released it breaks out to another range and hold, and repeat. So long as oil is holding at this level we should be fairly comfortable holding this for further gains. Of course if scared like JamesBond it's not wrong to take profits already, but one can always be less smart and not make an all-or-nothing choice

The movement today appears to have the intention to exhaust sellers at this range before a push higher. Yesterday the buyers were adamant to keep it at 37.0. Today 38.5. As this drags on, I believe few can hold all the way - so hopefully once sellers are exhausted and new buyers are built on this higher range, we will no longer revisit the days of below 30c

Yes and EPF lends credibility to this stock. They were holding much more back then, and pared down to below 5%. Actually EPF isn't a good gauge of price direction. Very often, once they are done selling the price rebounds e.g. MyNews. But in this instance, it's good because we need that credibility - this being so small-cap in a big boys business, yet attracting EPF managers attention
