Ya right USD holders still go for your cheap rex canned food and cheap furniture when the USD has gone up so much against the EURO
Dump dump all furniture shares today

However, I found the way Rex made provision for impairment based on next five year projections is meaningless. In an ever changing world, projections is at best a guide and a goal to be achieved. Using it to come up with a short term fair value for its assets is akin to plucking a figure from thin air. The incorporation of these minor adjustments to operational P&L is annoying as it distorts the financial figures and unnecessarily complicates things.
Poor guy.... do you even know what you are talking about?? How do you know there will be no impairment of similar kind in coming years?? How can you just exclude it?? Dont you know it can even be a bigger figure??

Some of the GLCs have big capital expenditure (capex) requirements but if the government asked them to pay more dividends, they will still have to oblige,” he added, citing the case of Petroliam Nasional Bhd.
While the national oil firm’s management had expressed its reservations on raising dividends, the government has repeatedly “reminded” the former that it makes the ultimate decision on the level of dividends that the national oil firm has to pay.

More relevant is maybe go for insurance claim... but how long would it cover?? will it be in full...?? and how soon will Armada see the money??? will it be in time before Armada's cash flow is messed up and cannot service its loans and becoming financially distress???
Think you don't want to go there............. just thinking about it will make you sick....

These are posted while Armada's price is still high so that you have sufficient time to think what to do next

Hopefully, it won’t be too long….. and while waiting there is no news like this…..
Due to continued low oil prices at below USD 50, two of Bumi Armada’s FPSOs which operate in offshore Nigeria have been lying idle as their Nigerian majors have decided to suspense operations till further notice as their production cost was high in the region of USD 78.57/bbl..
The FPSOs involve are Armada Perkasa and Armada Perdana.
This is a caution not an alarm…..
If oil prices stay below USD 50 long time… there will be considerable risk in investing in Armada…. Take note
At USD 78.57/bbl...... Nigeria oil majors’ cost is way above the shale oil’s

FPSO is the biggest contributor to Armada
Count the number of FPSO it has in operation and see if it can afford to have a few of them lying idle

This is, admittedly, the most difficult to call and the riskiest… and, there is nothing you can do but to wait it out till oil prices recover…….
