Yes, worst are from sme companies which is sctually the main business of this smallish bank.

Point is MBSB have lots of bad debts three years ago and did bad debt write off continuously for two years to clean up its balance sheet. Now again impairment loss. This means very bad credit lending and management. All banks recorded 1Q profit though lower vs last Q. Only mbsb lost money. Alliance Bank also made 90m profit as announced today. Think 2 or 3Q loss will be worst om full impact of mco experienced.

What for the 3 cent dividend when share price drops much much more thaat 3 cent?

1 cent is only quarterly result. If yearly dividend is 4 to 5 cent, at 90 ct...dividend yield per year is about 4.5 to 5%, much than bank FD. Upside gain when it moves up to rm1 is always there

Warren, agreed. How often u can buy it below RM4 and wth single digit PE? BTW, historically lowest was RM3 in 31 Oct 2008. Ignore up or down especially QR2 or QR3 results out expected to be bad and hold it for 1.5 ti 2.5 years, will be rewarded for our patience and temptation to take profit early. Personal view.
