Mjazli2, disposal is due to bonus shares, quite understandable. Historically, counters’ prices usually go down on ex bonus date

First of all, I bought XOX shares sometime ago
Second of all, I don’t really know what the hell those big guys are doing (in conjunction “with related counters”)
Third and last : Already own the shares
That’s basically it, right?

A long time ago, I exchanged emails with TS LHK on real estate matters. He was a Dato back then. He always replied my emails
Nowadays he has 2 secretaries that I hv to go thru
Trust TS LHK. He is exceptional when it comes to project turnarounds when he takes it on
Note : I didn’t buy Mahsing shares. I just like the way TS LHK do his biz

XZ, it was a strategic sell by me. I will refrain fr commenting in detail on Prolexus as a company. They look like a good company, that’s all I’ll say. I invested earlier based solely on its price movement. I watched the movement as well as the current scenarios locally as well as worldwide. I decided 1.85 was a satisfying exit. As said, I’ll keep a close eye (on various scenarios). Good luck to investors and traders!

Sorry guys. I exited at 1.85 right at 2.30pm today. Good luck. Will always keep an eye on this counter

newuser9021, I think realistic price in short term is 0.525 . Long term I honest dunno, depends on coming QR and coverage by IBs. Forget Pccs director that sold, he’s a minority shareholder, he’s like a retail stock trader imho

I think Generex is behind the curve a bit but based on my research they don’t seem to be in a hurry. They are trying to come up with a vaccine that works for kids and older folks w/o major side effects (esp for kids and even babies)

Tmrw 8.30-9am should see big sell queue due to profit taking. I expect a drop in morning session. I have held for a long time and will be patient. The pandemic will go on for a few more years. Even if a vaccine is proven successful, gloves will still be needed by frontliners during vaccination procedure (it’s mandatory; use gloves once only and discard). I hope investors will be stronger than retailers

I don’t think there will be any cannibalisation of Mynews stores. CU stores and Mynews stores will be symbiotic, each catering to different consumer markets. Main thing will be growth in revenue for MYNEWS as a PLC

Read their latest AR. Scroll all the way down to Properties section. Those numbers are NBV only. Current Market Value for those properties will be higher. Their Kota D’sara Distribution Center is big, their Rawang Distribution Centre is also considerable in size. This is one of the reasons EPF kept buying Mynews w/o even selling once since EPF started collecting (and EPF usually invest in a stock while also trade that stock daily/weekly). I follow EPF.

There are too many hypermarkets actually. And they will dwindle down in size (sales-per-squarefeet margins). Personally I prefer to buy stuff fr convenience stores due to, well, convenience. I’m not the type to that says “That store sells at RM1. The other store sells at RM0.99” :)

1. Why would a company go for IPO? Need money from investors to GROW
2. Why would a company NOT go for an IPO? They don’t need the money, they don’t need public scrutiny, they don’t need to be answerable

Investors buy and then keep quiet. This rr88 is just fxxking selfish. He posts here and there solely for his personal gain w/o any consideration for folks that may have followed his postings. He is Soros. If anyone followed his postings/suggestions and made money, good for them. The question is how many got burned by following him?
He has only one motive. His karma already decided

Mattdjerry86, it’s entirely up to you. Do your math, watch the chart/sentiment on Monday around 9.30am. Most importantly decide whether you ate long term or a trader when it comes to Opensys. Good luck

@jungleboy, on bonus day the price auto reduced. So folks buy (since cheaper... it depends on their budget for stock trading/investment), price goes up. And then they take profit when price goes up on bonus day and so price fall. It’s the traders, not the investors that cause this

2020-10-09 17:30 | Report Abuse
@mattdjerry86, yes price will drop on Monday. It will drop 33.33% fr todays close of 0.95 while those that are registered shareholders via CDS will get another half of the shares they already owned. If you missed the boat today, it’s ok... some are traders looking to buy after drop in price and have no intention of investing/keeping

rr88 wants to make money. I can understand that. But it’s just idiotic of him to one day promote Prlexus here and then “laugh” when tide turns. It’s fine if he just STFU and leave instead of promoting other counters in any specific counter forum thread. He doesn’t care about folks that may get burnt. Watch him? He can just fxxk himself using his dxxk (if he has one), a broom handle and maybe an entire hammer (since his ahole is bloody big)
rr88, if you exited any counter, exit the thread. Don’t talk bad in any counter forum thread here. If you go back in again after exiting, you’re welcomed. Just don’t be an ahole

RHB Research
Maintain BUY with new TP of MYR1.28 from MYR0.91, 75% upside
and c.3% yield. We are positive on management’s diversification effort
into the glove business. The new business should add resilience to the
cyclical earnings from the property development. The 12 new production
lines, costing c.MYR150m, are expected to commence operations from
Apr 2021 progressively. Earnings next year will likely see a quantum leap
as earnings from the glove business start to kick in. We raise our FY21F-
22F earnings by 56% and 126%.
Details on the new investment. Mah Sing announced that it is
diversifying into glove manufacturing starting next year. The first phase will
involve 12 new production lines – six of which will commence in 2Q21 and
the remainder in 3Q21. The production plant will be located in Kapar,
Klang, close to other glove players. Management guided that the
indicative orders it received thus far have exceeded its planned capacity.
Over the near term, the plant will focus on producing nitrile gloves, given
the high demand.
Funding sources. The investment size of MYR150m is not overly taxing
in our view. Mah Sing is currently in a net cash position (excluding
perpetual securities). Hence, the capital outlay can be easily funded via
internal funds, bank borrowings and the recent issuance of MYR100m
convertible sukuk.
Long-term plan for glove business. While it can leverage on its existing
processes in raw materials procurement, quality control etc in its plastic
manufacturing business, Mah Sing plans to recruit a team of engineers
and chemists and about 600 employees with relevant gloves
manufacturing experience for its new business. In the longer run,
management aspires to grow the business with 100 production lines,
producing 30bn pieces of gloves, and be one of the country’s Top 5 glove
producers. Eventually, the business can be carved out for listing.
