Sometimes I find forums so funny. Money is yours, buy or sell is your decision. Some people analysis, stock will go up, while other people analysis that it might go down.

Those who think stock will go up, share what they think or 'promote the stock'. Like wise, those who think otherwise, will also share their thoughts.

No need for personal attack or discredit one or the other analysis If you are buying or selling stock based on what someone is 'telling' you and you lost money, it is your own fault and you should probably not be in the market.

Aiyoo....bought more at 1.65 and now down a bit. Could have bought lower :( No worries, as I expect this to go beyond RM2.20.

Can sell minority, important is who has management control. If with minority, lesser investment, but have management control, also good for Geely/PSA as reduced risk. Might have option to increase ownership % later on.

On the issue 'Why buy Proton?' ASEAN market cannot be ignored by PSA or Geely. To set up factory from scratch will take 3 to 4 years. Proton Tg Malim factory is up to date with robotics. When it was opened, heard it can even make small plane. Very versatile factory. By taking over Proton, can start selling immediately, rather than waiting 3~4 years.

Additionally, sometime back, during Pak Lah time, Malaysia sign free trade agreement with Japan. By producing the car in Malaysia, can export to Japan with less restriction/taxes. Here makes sense for DRB (Malaysian company) to have majority (on paper).

Got people comment this stock not exciting, not moving etc. Ask those who bought at 60~80 cents. Already making more 50% capital appreciation and also earn very good dividends these few years. To these people, this is a very exciting stock. No need to monitor. Buy & collect dividend. Capital appreciation is a bonus.

Danny123, appreciate you making an effort going out there. I have not been there. Looking at google maps, I was wondering if Prudential Insurance, Zurich Insurance & VolksWagon dealer still there? If there are many empty units, to me this is an opportunity as MAA would have gotten it 'cheaper'.

Rally just started and got people want to take profit. So sad. Why sell when stock going up? Sell when going down lah, not when going up. Imagine if sold or 'take profit' at 1.60 yesterday, today sure regret. Easily will go beyong RM2.00. My short term target price is 2.27. Long term can go to 3.26.

Agreed. I was also upset to see that in the proposal. At least get us out of PN17 before even making the proposal. I know how I am going to vote on this one. Also, on the related party transaction, just because I am upset!

shareinvestor88, TP 1.00.....where did you get the news? What's the analysis behind this? If after share split or Bonus 1 for 1, than very good......just want to know where the news coming from. I bought at RM1.61....naturally, I am worried when I see this kind of comments. Please advice.

Won't loose all your money, if DRB goes down, means KLSE collapsed. DRB is one of those 'too big to fail'. Gomen and banks will support all the way. The way I look at it, the down side is limited compared to the upside.

Based on helloworld and other sharing, looks like the deal is going to go thru. PM, Ministers won't comment unless got some sort of confirmation. Going forward, in the near term, share of Proton loss to DRB will be 49% or about half and improving over time (FSP won't buy if they cannot see a future profit).....with this in mind and the other positives like POS, Honda, Batu 3 land, defence contract etc. Can start accumulating. My opinion.

Hope won't happen like last time between Proton & VW. Sticking point was VW must use "Approved Bumiputra Vendor" aka kronies rather than buying the best quality/price from the around the world. Deal fell apart at the very last minute.

Compared to other stocks, MAA is one of the stocks I have been keeping for the longest time. In fact I have been accumulating. I am very confident it will come out of PN17 sooner or later. When it does come out of PN17, it will go up. Need to be patience. In the mean time, enjoy the dividends. With all the dividends, at the current price, already made good returns. But I feel can easily make another 50% from current levels.

Yes, my guess too, they need to have a proposal to buy biz before the AGM....otherwise answerable to Shareholders.

A few months back the boss was promoting his company like crazy with interviews and news articles. At that time, I believe, he know the quarter was bad already. So, can you trust this company?

I think 1.61 has good support. If goes to 1.55, I sell everything and buy FLB.

Hope like earlier this month, touch 1.61 than rebound.
