Genting price trend reminds me of mid2020 trend. Drop until 2.99, too bad no biji to sapu.

Let shorties short, their choice. They also take risk to make money, so if they believe downtrend continues, they short. We should thank them for giving us opportunities to grab at low price. Harga diskaun won't last long.

Second Chinese are not robots, they can spot opportunities when it arises. Now gloves are making good money, so its rational for them to jump in. Intco produces medical equipment, gloves included. Unless they have superior tech that offers real competitive advantage over us M'sian glove makers, they won't want to be in a protracted price war. Ini panggil lose-lose strategi. When they no longer making good profit margin on gloves, they will scale back production.

Unless you day trade, don't worry about downtrend price level. We know that glove sentiments are very bad, yet we believe that one day this undervalued company will pay dividends (in a literal sense). Buy and hold, average down when price dips.

Can also day trade, but price movement now is more like 7 days red, one day green. Trade cautiously. I don't watch daily price movement, just buy and keep in the freezer.

After many months this apek finally bought back some Gent shares, believe Genting will bounce back soon given current vaccination trajectory at home and abroad.
For the record, this apek also hold Harta shares. I believe both counters undervalued for two different reasons.

When do we expect Harta to release its next QR?

Don't understand why China's regulator cracking down on their own tech sector. What do they want to achieve here? If regulation tighten continues to tighten, expect another round of drop.

This wabak covid very susah to control. Eventually countries will find a way to control it, or life with it for better or for worse. I think we're approaching a new normal with greater emphasis on hygiene and the use of glove. If this view is true, then investing in glove is a no brainer. If I am wrong, I lose money lah (kalau invest takut lose money, then jangan main leh) but at least I am banking on a well-managed company.

Agree there's a lot of uncertainty in the glove market. Despite surge in cases, we are no longer in mid-2020 where glove price reached the sky. The consensus is that we are approaching a "new normal' when many countries reached herd immunity. Maybe we'll get there in a year or two.

I, on the other hand, believe that despite the vaccine, the Covid remains endemic in the foreseeable future. Just like the "Spanish fly", it just won't go away, because in many countries there's a sizable anti-vax population. And the poorer parts of the world still haven't reached herd immunity, so emergence of a new strain is very likely. So we'll see continued usage of gloves, even if ASP has gone down.

I choose Harta not because it's the industry leader, I choose it because it's a well managed company, it's a cautious approach in these bearish market (if I am willing to take more risk, I'll buy supermx or topglov instead). I'm here for the long run and buy more stocks when prices dip.

Windfall tax, hah! Instead of that how about menteri and kabinet salaries is based upon their performance? Kerajaan gagal, no bonus/gaji for you this year!

Don't main2 with windfall tax (more like whim tax, suka2 increase tax). Business prefer stable regulation. Suka2 naik tax, how to do business! Then later you wonder why Malaysia no longer have "profitable" industries.

With share prices so low these days good if can buy and hold, wait for rebound.

There's a surge across all glove counters while other counters are doing so-so. Are people worried about the delta variant? If so price may experienced another round of temporary surge like two months ago. Let's see how price move next week.

Of course I am aware of it. I think Kossan is also under investigation. Under investigation doesn't always necessarily lead to conviction. They will need quite a bit of concrete evidence to prove this case.

Which is why I am a bit hesitant to buy Top Glove despite the low price. My worry is that other countries (Europe) might follow with their own glove ban.

Still I know Top Glove is hard at work resolving this issue. I will wait for the day when the issue is settled.

Despite the recent bad news, price manages to stay above 7.0. At the moment it is performing better than some of my "recovery stocks"

This is very bad, but if only for two weeks the impact on the company as a whole is small (pray that EMCO doesn't extend beyond two weeks). If plan to buy and hold for long term, good opportunity to top up when price dip.

I am somewhat optimistic because Harta price remains quite stable today, despite very poor sentiments on gloves. Let's hope price can maintain at around 7.00 in the very short term.

Currently bang miskin also now eyeing for top glove counter too. However top glove still have to deal with US kastam problem. I believe situation will be resolved sooner or later. When that happens bang miskin will buy some bottom priced top glove.

@jayden007 When price is low I also want to buy, but must sell other counters which is also already at rock bottom price (I have some Genting and Maybank, not much). Already sold good portion of recovery stocks to buy Harta but this is risky, like main api. Recovery stocks have high chance of rebound in short term. Harta, dunno when bad sentiment will end, but if price drops more will continue to let go recovery stocks to top up. For us miskin investors, feels like have to potong kaki to beli tangan.

Last year I bought Harta at 13, sold at 17. Make some pocket money. This time is different I want to kutip Harta at low price. But based on what I know now, I went in two months early, and price can still fall. So I am here for the long run: will average down when price bottoms out. Your strategy may be different. Do what you think is best.

Depends what you want to do in short or medium term.
Right now the price trend downwards, seem to head toward pre-pandemic price of 6. If you believe that there is no rebound in the coming days, then cut loss as soon as you can. If you think there is a possible rebound back to 7ish, then cut loss after price rebound.

As for me I am in no rush. my average price is at 8.8. I can hold for another 2 years. cut loss now I rugi banyak. I plan to top up when price stablise a bit. I believe Harta is worth more than its current price, but need to wait until weak sentiment is over.
