Two points here:
1. the gov has allocated RM715mil to "cover the cost" of full rebate and surcharge for all domestic consumer. So gov pay on behalf, rather to charge to your bill.
2. Surcharge of 3.7 cents/kWj will be imposed on all non domestic users.
It simply means the increase is already confirmed. Is just how the politician want to address the increase in better terms.

no hike is because gov subsidise. Indirectly is gov pay on your behalf, it doesnt mean no increase. The commercial user is facing rate increase, read in detail.

since covid change everything, we shall look at the share price starting from 2020 till now, and you can tell whether this current price is at the peak or near the peak. Is this buy high or buy low, you read from the graph.

timing is everything, there is never too late to buy or too early to sell. Never chase high. Chances are always there.
With CNY holiday around corner it is wise to sell now for profit and wait sideline.

just take note the oil price may just a short rise as US may release more oil to market to calm it down rather let it add fuel to the inflation crisis.

i think you need to understand MAA case is different. They fell into PN17 after sold Malaysian Assurance Alliance Bhd to Zurich where it contributed more than 50% of its revenue for a very attractive offer. So it was then classified as PN17 according to the rules at that time, but in actual the company was not in financial distress, no loan to bear.
Then later on Bursa changed the rules on PN17 where the NTA be 25% of paid up capital. That is part of history.
Airasia is way different compare to MAA. Look at the debt.

They have 18 months to try out from PN17. If not may be delisted from bursa.

everyday is burning cash for plane maintenance and parking fees, once cash depleted like cruise and fail to raise more money you see what going happen next...
The market already shrinking and we have 2 more new airline launched, that is really not a good news to Airasia..

take Genting Group as an example. Today Genting HK filing for liquidation of its cruise line on Tuesday in Bermuda. And the boss LKT resigned as Genting HK CEO.
If AA fall into same situation, it will be similar as the cruise line. There is no business can sustain forever without generating income.

Covid has changed the airline industry. Ppl will not travel that often for many years to come. AA still have many planes grounded and imagine the expenses day to day burning cash on those planes.

@NatsukoMishima Genting group will not PN17 because they have already diversified their business into other non-gambling industry long time ago, eg. plantation, power energy, holdings..etc and they are cash rich company sitting on tons of cash.
unlike Airasia where the AA food delivery, AA ride hailing, just started, is burning cash every day and their core business is still airline which most of the planes still grounded that is why trigger the PN17.
Understand the business you are investing in. :)

AA Superapp is by valuation. I can always claim my house worth 1mil, but if there is no buyer the asking price is only for reference. All food delivery/ ride hailing are still growing and shall not expect to make profit anytime soon. If you look at Grab/ Uber, are they making money now even after so long?

Limited liability means a private company whose owners are legally responsible for its debts only to the extent of the amount of capital they invested.
So in business sense there are times you make profit and there are times you lose money. Regardless what is the outcome the liability is limited.
As long as the company will retrench accordingly to local labor law and follow bankruptcy regulation, there is nothing bad will affect to group image.
