62 Tahun selepas Merdeka, kerajaan masih dengan permikiran sempit membuat pengagihan berdasarkan kaum tanpa menyedari kek tesebut semakin mengecil. Persaingan luar terlalu sengit takkala kerajaan masih dalam dunia khayalan. Kerajaan sepatutnya fikir amacam kembangkan kek tersebut, bukan bunuh sesama rakyat. Bangau.

Dear Datuk Calvin, MY and SG in different situation. SG is one of world finance centre, can tap into credit easily at cheap cost, without affecting SGD. MY is still having non-stop outflow, 1 year after Pakatun as new govt- MYR is very weak, pulled down each time interest lower down. SG income per capita much higher than MY, thus demand for property holding up well. MY lousy MYR, cause beyond affordability many commoners to get finance to own property causing slump, glut here. Even if MY interest cut to zero no point when access to finance very hard in MY now

Mr Grady declined to say how many parties had entered into due diligence and given non-binding indicative bids, but said it was a good number. Possible buyers are major investor Singapore-based Mulpha and China's largest insurer China Life Insurance. On price, he said potential acquirers were also talking about "indicative numbers higher than where we're trading at the moment" as they were focused on the long-term growth of Aveo's target market and the opportunity to export its model to other countries.
"They're also looking at what is, by world standards, really good practice in this area and thinking about whether they can export them to overseas," he said.
Aveo shares, which have lost 30 per cent of their value over the past 12 months, were trading 5¢, or almost 3 per cent higher, on Wednesday at $1.77.
Over the six months to December, Aveo's revenue dropped from $208 million to $144 million as revenue from sales of non-retirement assets - a process started in 2014 - slowed to $33.7 million from $85.7 million. A $63.2 million after-tax decrease in the valuation of Aveo's retirement portfolio plunged the group into a net loss of $44.7 million from a profit of $149.3 million.
The slowing residential market had affected the 50-year discounted cash flow valuation of retirement properties the company takes the capital gain on in its sales to, and subsequent repurchase from, residents, Mr Grady said.

Beliau bagaimanapun enggan memberi ulasan kerana belum tahu maklumat lanjut mengenainya. – MalaysiaGazette

KUALA LUMPUR: The government’s decision to review the proposed stock market trading link between Bursa Malaysia and the Singapore Exchange (SGX) has left analysts in limbo as little detail has been provided thus far.
InterPacific Securities head of research Pong Teng Siew said the review of the Bursa Malaysia-SGX Link could involve either the nature or the structure of the trading link or the abolishment of the link, which he believed was unlikely.
“The trading link aims to promote access to Malaysian stocks for foreign investors and vice-versa, so the review could be something more on the structural review rather than a cancellation.
“Perhaps the review could also include the merger of both exchanges, but I do not think so,” he told Bernama.
Dubbed the “Malaysia-Singapore Connect”, the link was announced in February this year to provide both Malaysian and Singaporean investors an easier and seamless access to the stock market of each country.
The proposed trading link, scheduled to be launched by year-end, will be facilitated by the Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) and the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS).
However, newly elected Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad announced yesterday that the trading link would be put under review.
Hermana Capital Bhd chief executive officer and chief investment officer Datuk Nazri Khan Adam Khan believed the review was aimed at boosting market liquidity, especially among the retail participants on both the stock markets.
“If the government plans to cancel it, the move will potentially upset retail investors because there are a lot of Singaporean retailers who are interested in Malaysian stocks. It will have repercussions on the retail participants and market liquidity.
“The new government would have to find ways and options to drive the market liquidity again,” he said.
Both Pong and Nazri opined that the review would not have much impact on the local equity performance, at least, not in the immediate term.
MIDF Research Analyst Danial Razak agreed that the review was unlikely to have a huge impact on the underlying sentiment. — Bernama
