To be a successful stock picker one must be able to look beyond PE ratio. Peg ratio is more important as well as free cash flow in a company.

Pe ratio is useful to filter out certain kind of stock. If you apply it to technology related stock that is light on asset, you'll probably miss out most of the best stocks in the world including Google.

When you see a high Pe stock keep rising, there are few reasons that market is pricing for. Of course this including driving force from speculators.


1. Forecast of revenue improvements.

So far significant of revenue comes from printing MyKad and passport. This is a threat as the company rely too much of this. However we can feel safe as it is contract based and cannot easily change hands. This can also be turned into opportunity if Dsonic can win more overseas contract. This is a business that never die as long as population is growing and more foreign migrants choose to stay in Malaysia.

The mandatory to change credit card to use one time pin in 2016 will also be a great catalyst.

The company is also diversifying to other business area such as cctv. I am not going to list out all other business they have. Please visit their website.

2. Cost reduction.
When you are in a business, you'll need to deal with cost issues such as operating costs, improve equipment, cost of subcontracting, cost of material. If one can find a magic ingredient to tackle this, net profit will rise significantly.

Datasonic has used significant amount of revenue last year to build assembly plant to reduce the cost of manufacturing the card by as much as 35% end of the year.

Most people including bursa don't understand why Dsonic is so strong and a lot of people still skeptical about the rise, including some respectable columnist. Others just follow the crowd to buy when price rise, play contra to earn few cents and throw in panic when there is slight warning.

I hope you will stay invested wisely and spend more time to read the financial statement and other report and news to stay informed. Without this knowledge, you can easily throw away a golden goose in panic like this morning. I am not going to repeat how much we earn by holding on to the shares here as you should have read it many times.

I don't really care what the price movement daily as I know what it can achieve in few years down the line.

Good luck to those who choose to invest in low Pe stock that is undervalued but no one dare to touch. Mark down your price and let's compare again in a year time. Dsonic has proved you wrong last year. I have no doubt that it will do it again.

fortune, last time it happened to iris in 2006, it rised 17 times in eight months. Another one is Harvest that received two UMA, Union paper that manufacture toiet paper sky rocketed 1,229% in 3 months.

For Dsonic, it rise a roughly 7-8 times in last eight months that is backed by few hundred percent improvement of profit in comparison to 2012

Iris was designated after a month after initial warning. This is just early warning and the rise of Dsonic has been backed by excellent results in comparison to the other that were manipulated and fined in court.

At the moment the PE 39 is still below MYEG 42 and I don't see any problem yet but of course need to be cautious when it run wild in the next few weeks if it rise without any backing of more contract announcement. Hopefully this will stop contra player and we can be enjoying the rise smooth and slowly.

Now, this is what I call useful speculating.
It's speculating, don't take it too seriously. Don't tembak randomly :-). Fundamental is still key.

Ock may be end of wave 3 and in wave 4, if you understand what I mean. But chart reading can be wrong depends on market sentiment. So?

I really don't know lah, it's up to you. I always hold tight and don't trade every day even though I know there is correction.

So far four stocks that recommended by unclez has been up except Scable.

Many people asked the same question, why scable is not rising like the other. One need to realise that even Warren Buffet can also pick the wrong stock or the stock need sometime before it turn bullish. UncleZ has 80% success rate and don't expect him to be 100% right all the time. Even if he suggest an affordable stock, we need to examine and do our due diligence before we jump in.

First of all Scable is a down trend stock since August 2013 and at the moment it is trading at side way. The highest of scable 2.28. I would suggest to only start collecting when there is a bullish cross over 1.55 resistant with high volume. Otherwise it will stay there for ages and you will pay for opportunity cost. There is some catalyst down the line and the contract it won will start contributing FY14 onwards.

If you can wait for one year, then it is definitely a good stock. I am afraid most of us here has been spoiled by rising price of dsonic, ock and presbhd daily and weekly and other fundamental stock is gathering dust. At the moment, I view pestech better than scable.

Just my two cents.

asam, very true, it feels like we become the second generations of the dsonic. It's good to earn from the rise of stock. It's even better to earn something together with others that can share your joy. No need to thank here and there. We have experienced many up and downs. Without encouragement from one and another, we can lose focus.

There will be a day when stock will be down and I hope all those who thank here will not turn to cursing. I can see how OTB suffer from this. When he recommended some stock and up, everyone treat him like sifu/God. When stock is down, all those zombie is chasing him especially optimus and curse on him. Siva, OCK don't buy above what it worth. The price we bought is safe. Don't expect too much without any more profit earning. Mid term 1.5. Otherwise it is pure goreng and be careful that shark may play this as well.

Put aside some money. Think of the crash is the biggest sales ever. You should be happy and you will make a fortune from the crash but need patience. Gradually move away from penny stock.

Study all the good counters now and make sure you pick good fundamental stocks that give out dividend. Those that is supported by EPF will weather the storm better although price does not fly as fast as the other.
