Only from one of his hired help. Also somewhere far down the line of authority

To be fair to him, he did not get the assurance from KKP.

Calvin, what happened to PMCORP's cash payout? Luckly I cashed out before the share dropped back to the current price. To be on the safe side, I shall wait for the company to declare first.

Up up and away again. Approval from Bursa this week?
2014-04-06 20:51 | Report Abuse
Asamlaksa, I intend to hold CMSB after the split and bonus issue. Approvals from Bursa seem to be fast tracked. This lull in the share price can be a good entry point. The giant is showing signs of growing stronger and the moat getting deeper and wider for the competitors.

Even with the vast difference in price, I feel more comfortable owning CMSB than PMCorp. Granted, MPCorp has huge potential and one year from now, its performance may outstrip that of CMSB. Come what may, I'll still be happy with what CMSB can offer.

MPcorp's major problem is management.

Pang72, couldn't believe my luck when share dropped so much. Last few days, wanted to get in but the price kept shooting up. My lucky day!

My gut feeling CMSB will be the star for 2014. Somehow, I feel very confident of this counter. I think we'll hear more good news in the future.

Should move up again, as I think this exercise is to shake up the contra players. Went in again at 10.20.

Calvin, price of MPCorp shares should be much better because of it's land location. Can explain why current price is still stuck around 39-40 sen?

Invest88, thanks! Hope it's true. Even if not true at this price still a good investment. Will hold tight tight and hope for the best. For dividend income can even masuk lagi.

Icon, Lohman, well said. Situations keep on changing. It can be boardroom decisions, the weather, economic climate, politics. The super investor, digests them all and often than not makes the right decision. As for JT the jury is supposed to be out three years from now. But I'm sure Mr Koon will react to safeguard his sizeable investments before the three years are up if they are at risk. Shouldn't we too?

ICON8888, very refreshing insight to your investment techniques. We wish for more contributions from you. Wish you all the best in your future endeavours. Also, kudos to Mr Koon for his passion in the stock market and for sharing. For me, I'm happy because I'm finding many other ways to pack a bag.

Very balanced and fair posting Alphabeta. You can have the best share tip in the world, but the grey matter between the ears can still make the worst of it. Who to blame/

It is good if Thundercat participates in Stock Pick 2014. It will be fun as well as educational. However, to be fair to all participants, his submissions should start from today, 01.01.14. He can still submit a stock pick if purchased in the last week of December 2013.

Hi Kassim! Thanks for your update. With new players `appearing from nowhere' and bagging jobs from Petronas, lets hope Tgoffs can still survive. I'm sure that they must be doing all they can to `keep their heads above water', sea water that is!

Maukaya, respect your contribution. Good management is so so important. I have spent considerable time and investments on this counter and patience is running thin! Anyway, who is the new shareholder?
2013-11-02 11:14 | Report Abuse
JTFX, Maukaya, who is the new shareholder? Lightweight or heavyweight?
2013-11-02 11:10 | Report Abuse
Maukaya, I quite agree with you, their connections with government looks lightweight. After all the publicity of buying the oil rig(s), which happened a long time ago, still no rig(s) to show. In business, especially with the government, one doesn't embark on a new venture unless one is confident that their contacts can fulfil their promises. They are probably in a dilemma. Announce purchase of rig(s) before securing lease or announce lease first before securing rig(s). It is possible, at the moment, they have neither! Maukaya, if you have invested in TGOFFS, what would do? Jump ship or wait patiently till it reach port?
2013-11-01 01:12 | Report Abuse
YiStock, correct, as long as maintenance costs are manageable. Nevertheless, to be honest, I'm sure we are all still apprehensive of Songa Venus's age. I think, purchase of this rig is a stop-gap measure for TGOFFS. They have a rig which is already operational and capable of churning income. As long as the purchase improves the bottom line, why not?
2013-10-31 11:27 | Report Abuse
Old as the rigs may be, if they can do the job with minimal disruption to production, should be ok. Petronas is not going to pay around US21 mil per contract, unless they are happy with the job done. Also, since the performance of the rigs is known to Petronas, rehiring should be easier.
2013-10-31 03:09 | Report Abuse
YiStock, results of my research on Songa Venus and Songa Mercur. Both are semi-sub rigs. Songa Venus begun operations in 1975 and Songa Mercur in 1989. Both the rigs are currently operating off Vietnam through companies contracted by Petronas. Songa Venus is under contract to end October 2013 and Songa Mercur's contract runs into 2014. From the info, it is likely that TGOFFS will purchase Songa Venus first and Songa Mercur later in 2014 (if that is their plans to buy two). Announcement soon? The owners are putting these two rigs up for sale, their oldest in a fleet of 5, as they require funds to finance four new rigs they ordered.

Tomorrow looks interesting, should end the day higher. Hope they'll stop playing the silly game of pushing it up and and then down. For Lim's sake they should now reverse the play.
