友尼森（马）有限公司（UNISEM，5005，科技组）将积极多元化至新科技，如医疗设备、汽车领域、电力管理、智能手机和消费产品。

集团董事经理谢圣德表示，随着笔记型电脑和个人电脑需求于最近数年萎缩，多元化已成为半导体工业的趋势。

他在出席公司常年大会后透露：“我们不只多元化地缘，同时也多元化市场领域，行业的方向将会有所改变。”

他说，涉及医疗设备的科技正在开发当中。

谢圣德称：“医疗应用的所有设备都与众不同，因此，我们需要为每个客户客制化。”

“晶片的需求将比过去数年更高，因为我们将配合需求利用。”

友尼森已经连续2个季度蒙亏。其截至2013年3月31日止首个财季的净亏损企于974万令吉，而2012财政年末季净亏损则达1950万令吉。

不过，谢圣德表示，美国经济有走强的迹象，惟中国则将会稍微放缓。

“虽然业务将重度依赖客户需求，但下半年将会大幅改善。”

谢圣德说，半导体工业已经进入友尼森开始经营以来的最长放缓期，延续了6至8个季度，比较正常放缓期仅3至4季。

针对公司的前景，他称：“我们希望很快转盈。它看来最坏时刻已经过去。”

他补充，去年，友尼森撤出一些拥有非常低利润的传统产品。这些传统产品已不再活跃发展，但却仍未完全退役。

“尽管在衰退期，我们已经投资在新科技，这将让我们在复苏时抢得商机。”

该出口导向公司以低于其设备最佳产能的水平操作。“我们拥有足够产能以应对增长。”

谢圣德表示，友尼森计划今年拨出7000万令吉资本开销，相等于去年数额的一半。他续称，这个金额将注入新科技、包装和服务组合。

“我们不再对旧科技作出投资。”

南洋2014年6月13日：询及怎样处置威尔士厂房时，谢圣德称，公司已经把机器转售，目前正在为该地皮寻求买家。
他说：“该地皮尚未估值，但我们已经和几个产业经纪洽谈有关转售地皮事宜，预计下半年能够成事。”
至于现有厂房运作，公司希望把厂房使用率从60%，增至85%以上后，才探讨扩充计划。
