@kata888 all your point is telling us that the glut is increasing instead of decreasing, even with the measure taken, it will only let the price stay at the level longer... extending the risk for the market... money spent bailing out the oil market by taking up contract (if done by the government) required them to take debt or print more money. This will introduce additional financial stress to the already shaken economy due to the pandemic. Possibly causing the financial crisis to come.

When i read what you write... it already tell me that the oil market will stay bearish for an extended period of time. Why in the end you will think this will not effect the stock...

Investors + speculation = very short term player... they will not be keeping the stock more than 3 years

Actually the company doesn't have much issue in sustaining through this low oil price time. Because they are local oil providers which their oil will consume locally and can be purchase with much cheaper logistic cost.

The real problem is current price is not correctly reflected to the crude price.
Another problem is some delusional people here say that the crude would skyrocket in near term... these are just their forecast but presented like the truth... there has been no supporting fact or even reports on their assumptions...

I doubt any of them here are really able to grasp the value of information shared to this forum. There are many of them that still in denial of the current situations...
This pandemic is very different from every pandemic that happened before...

But i got a bad feeling when the short ban is lifted... probably right after MCO is lifted

When MCO lifted... there will still be some restriction on movement.
Plus... when our MCO is lifted, probably only our country in SEA has the MCO lifted... most part of the workd still having lockdown..

So this when MCO lifted is not so true...

Also due to IMO2020... crude shipments cost increased so most buyer will consider logistic cost to decide which oil to be bought... the negative price is just the after effect that of how isolated US is from most place that consume their oil...
In US they don't process their shale oil because it is too light and they only have refinery for heavy crude.

What worrysome is the spillover effect of WTI oil that effect brent pricing... those negative cuts that US shale is doing is to compete with the sales outside of US.

This is just my opinion at this point.
I am neither supporter or hater of hibiscus petroleum, just giving ideas of current situation.

Price in US WTI trade is negative because in some places, demand is weak due to geographical location, they have to give discount until negative price region to make sure they don't need to store oil...

Real contract price is not same with brent price... it is brent spot price - discount... so cannot rely on direct brent price... if brent price is USD27, depends on how much you sell... the discount have to be deeper to secure the sales contract... typically 5 to 40% discount

Opportunity to invest... if i were to buy... i think not at this price... future point, need oil to reach at least 50 USD to move from 50 cents...

as for the road user, yes it is true somehow... but ... these storage we are talking about ... it is not just storage for few days capacity ... most of it can last for a month or more ... plus you have storage on both distillates and crude... not a simple math to do ...

do you know that the production cut ... is in bare minimum from the previous cut before price war... not like they have stop the production of crude completely... they are still trying to grab back their market by cutting price ...there is so much to consider for ....

very weird idea to say that consumption after MCO stop will be very high. Clearly you don't understand the impact of this virus to the economy and society. People will still live in fear till a real cure is found. Even if there is a real cure, they will be still skeptical to it... as much as people need to travel to work, they are not the majority of the airplane user... mostly travel for tourism ...

P.S.: MCO is not a permanent solution to this pandemic, the only reason it is done is to flatten the rate. Even if the MCO is lifted, they would not allow the third wave, forth wave or fifth wave to come.... most likely more country will stringent their borders and may reject most of the flight...
