@pengyou yes. Short term dips.
2019-09-26 18:24 | Report Abuse
@pengyou hibiscus is not selling oil on daily basis, short term dip down has not much effect to them... just the share....
2019-09-26 11:21 | Report Abuse
@pengyou ... hibiscus don't need to have crude oil price to be that high, actually they are currently going to have a production increase in both of their producing field. Alot of effort has been made by them, they are taking their target production seriously.
Crude oil price is not only affected by the saudi only. As the matter of fact, it has alot of other factor contributing to the price surge. The year is near end, 2020 will have alot of unexpected news... hopefully it is good for crude oil.

Shale oil is at their limit... their plan of child rig has backfired, with most of them are running at the negatives... even with current oil price, they are at loss... (says their cost is 40 dollars but they need to service their high staking loan) ...

Just the specialized parts to repair those towers could take months to get. Five out of the 18 stabilization towards were hit, indicating a “very specific, accurate targeting of those particular infrastructures,” Phillip Cornell, former senior corporate planning adviser to Aramco, cited by Bloomberg.
Saudi Arabia’s stockpiles are only sufficient enough to last 26 days, according to Rystad Energy, so if the outage were to last “months” rather than days or weeks, customers may actually feel the supply crunch.

To see this attack is not worth of repairing it for saudi... more like iran want to get their crude "illegally sold higher" because of the sanction now. More advantage to iran in this sense... maybe even it is US plot to start the war...

Many do not understand that it is not that simple to say it is going to be up or down... it is not just trade war that influences the price, there are many more parameter. The longer it stay bearish the harder it will recover once it become bullish. From bad news every month, to unexpected news that pull it up each month. That is why the big oil company still betting big on the oil and gas companies. If you just look for short term, you can always jump ship. Nobody is telling you to stay. Depends on your time of entry, the end result will be different.

If it is short term ROI, what you need is a fortune teller not the company decision to defend.

@AlvinTSK As investor, we are always looking for ROI... what is the benefit of investing in Hibi during this volatility state? Since there is no dividend in sight on the near future, there is no protection from clashes and with the latest QR not that positive in term of profit. Titus, we not employed by hibi and we do not have a paid salary/bonus from them so we going to look at an investor prospective instead of a company staff!!

Depends on your short term ROI or long term ROI

@Alvin trust me, market itself will defend their own interest when needed. This stock price won't fall too far unless there are big changes in geopolitical again.
2019-08-28 12:11 | Report Abuse
@Alvin the money that they use to defend the stock price will be loss if people like you taking advantage of it.
Might as well don't bother of the price and let the market decide what best for it.
2019-08-28 12:08 | Report Abuse
@Alvin ... i don't see any other reason of the price drop than the trade war. It is meaningless for the boss to defend the share price in this time. The drop in share price doesn't concern them as they has not planned to get loan or valuation for private placement. Which as a tiny investor i don't mind their decision and prefer they focus on their work than that.
What external influences to the stock price that is out of control (other than manipulating share price) shouldn't be in consideration for their management.

@Alvin not just oil and gas share will plunge, soon major economy will feel the pain of the difficulty to do trade during this times. I bet someone will make a big U turn soon. Haha don't take my word for it... that is just an opinion. Anyhow it doesn't matter, .. what matter is buy buy buy...
2019-08-27 14:18 | Report Abuse
This few days hibiscus share price drop is only due to trade war concern... nothing to do with political reason.
Basically trade war is doing bad for all economy not just oil and gas, but the severity is not known yet.
Even with trade war, transport company still will deliver goods, there will always be needs, not everything can produce locally. It will reduce but not stop. Instead we will see policy changes that might affect US economy directly as they made so many enemy on the line to counter trade war policy by them. Can be expected that US crude may not have buyer soon. China is starting to find alternative source other than crude from US, due to their trade war.
By the time the demand of crude is reduced, the effect on the economy is not just to brent price...
If the America let that to happened, everyone will be blaming on American selfish dream to make America great again.
