SHQuah, I tried to look for the article you posted above in several websites such as Edge, Marinelog, Tradearabia and Aberdeen business but they all seemed to have removed the article. Do you still have a copy of it?

Oil price still going down, down USD4 in last 24 hours. Crazy...

Mat, I like your thinking. I'm also holding cash and waiting to average down but will only buy into strength. The environment is forecasted to get worse in the short term with 1MDB, MYR-USD and Brent all playing a role. PE ratio is still at 12.2, it can still go lower.
Hold on bro!

Bought at 2.22 back in December 2014. Thank god I wasn't too impressed with their fundamentals back then and only invested a small percentage into this.

I am with blackul66 on this one. As soon as WTI/Brent hits USD70/80 respectively, it would make sense for the shale oil group to pick up where they left off. However, I'm sure they'll be a lot more prudent this time around.

My opinion... oil will unlikely hit 100 this year unless something unexpected happens. Why? Because shale oil will reenter the market and boost supply once it hits 70 and above. The infrastructure is already in place, just needs to start up again.

It's all about holding it during this uncomfortable time to see mid to long term rewards. This company has one of the lowest PE ratios in the industry and consistent profits.

I heard quite a few people in their Menara Perak HQ was given 24 hour notice. Scary times but hopefully, they will emerge leaner and meaner.

GST is only applicable on the brokerage fee right? Meaning if you trade RM50k, brokerage fee will be about RM300 assuming 0.6%. GST charged on that will be RM18.

Think longer term... price will remain low in short term but if you can hold for a year or two, this share will be good.

I am personally more interested in the audit reports than the Q4 2014 results. Reason? Results can go up and down due to many factors, external or internal. However, the audit reports show the quality of the management which affect long term results. I have had favorable experiences with the management at BAB during my project several years back but I'm also keeping my mind open to the possibility that ogt8989 and his multi accounts have been leaking the truth.

Unlike you, I have not made claims... only asked for credible sources. I find it amusing that all the negative posting accounts have the same standard and style of English as well as timing.
Oh well, I am open minded. To be honest, I'm not expecting much out of the Q4 2014 PBT as well. However, if the audit report does show what you say, then I'll admit that you were right.
So no need to be so defensive unless you're hiding something LOL.

Newbie11, it all depends on your holding power and whether you want to take a risk to average by buying a few more shares at current price. IMHO, in the short to medium term (1 year), it is highly unlikely to bounce back to your 4.33 purchase price.
If you can hold it, do so. This is a company that is profitable and currently has a good PE ratio as well. It is just a victim of low oil prices.

"Within our stock universe, we prefer Bumi Armada (BUY; FV: RM1.55/share) where the group has secured earnings from its FPSO vessels with the earliest charter expiring in 2016 (excluding option for extension). Bumi Armada will see an uptick in earnings in FY15F, as significant contributions from 50%-owned FPSO Armada Sterling 2 kick in, followed by substantial contributions from the Kraken and 15/06 FPSOs in FY16F. The stock now trades at 15x FY15F PE against its historical mean of 28x. Its closest peer, Yinson (HOLD; FV: RM2.85/share), is currently trading at 20x."
"Rather than worrying about oil price trends, we are more focused on companies that are able to manage their costs effectively. Our top pick is Bumi Armada (Outperform, TP: RM1.77)."

Brian, that's what I've been waiting for as well (actual articles) but nothing yet. Whether ogt8989 and karma have ulterior motives to be posting negative unsubstantiated rumours on a daily basis remains to be seen.

Low PE ratio, decent earnings. Still got chance to go up, especially in long term when oil rebounds.

cherry tomato,
From what I understand, Karma and friends is saying that there has been a lot of malpractice and poor management from BAB and has caused a large amount of issues, delays and poor quality execution. He highlights the management of Armada Claire and the C7 project in particular. This is the reason why HB (Hassan Basma, former CEO) was removed. Karma is waiting for the auditor findings to be announced (dramatically named 3D animation movie) as well as the Q4 2014 results which supposedly will show net losses or a huge drop in profits.
Tshwong is countering that these are all unfounded rumours, asked Karma to stop spreading these made up stories and Q4 2014 results will be fine.
Keep in mind neither has shown insider proof of these claims so I'm sitting on the fence until otherwise. I believe all this will be resolved once the Q4 2014 results are announced in mid Feb.

rMoi, may I know what is your source for this?:
"Due to continued low oil prices at below USD 50, two of Bumi Armada’s FPSOs which operate in offshore Nigeria have been lying idle as their Nigerian majors have decided to suspense operations till further notice as their production cost was high in the region of USD 78.57/bbl".
Please link as I was unable to google it.

Oil prices, like many commodities, is fueled mostly by speculation and you can never predict. Eg: Oil price up today because Saudi king passed away. http://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-30945324
Instead, invest in good companies for long term especially when the price is good. Whether you think BAB is good is your own decision.

Are ogt8989, Karma, kilsnk, nirvana etc the same person? Seems like they have the same writing style and content.
Anyway, I've had the privilege of working with the BAB team on an 11 month project several years ago. They were capable and professional and I have no doubt they will come out of this share price slump stronger than ever.
