It is certainly not as lucrative but I don't think it is likely that your friend suffers losses due to the weekly setting of pump prices. Maybe other issues. Make less more likely. I am getting out of the business as not as lucrative as before, have to be full time and better bet to on HY or BitC.

The exchange above, to me, is innocuous. My point was that Shell could use the petrol stations capacity so as to profit and mitigate losses when prices fluctuate. As you have mentioned, HY sells to Shell Marketing who then distributes to the retailers therefore Shell Marketing are the one to benefit from this arrangement. As a retailer, it is very frustrating when pump prices will drop after Wednesday midnight, they will double load us retailers. When pump prices up, they will withhold deliveries or just give normal loads.

HY does not appear to be able to benefit but one cannot be sure without knowing the details of its agreement with Shell Marketing.

There's no intention on my part to pull wool over anybody's eyes, just general information and knowledge to be shared.

Two main ways of getting Bitc. I am a miner first of all. My return on mining is about 10% per month. If price goes up my inventory value goes up. My cost of investment is Rm300k.

I trade BitC on Luno in much smaller amount as I believe the price will double.

Sorry I digress from HY which I am still holding.

You have a point. If investment is made successfully than EPV should exceed AV. If it is lower, than the investment may be a bad decision or due to other reasons such as poor execution, management etc.

Not sure whether Ricky agrees.

I think we have traders and investors here. Traders should buy on rumours and sell on news or just before news. Investors should hold if they believe in the company.

If you are trader, get out some. It is banker's style although FM may come in and price may sustain. Nobody can be sure unless you are part of the syndicate. If investor I believe can hold until reach your target. I trade some and hold some..
