Shanghai now up 100 points... better believe HSI 20,000 or up 600 points

Wei Jie Yau, I will not keep any put warrants if I were you and would wait in the afternoon

popcorn, I don't think it is manipulation.
- first the market maker runs out of HQ, so it does not provide Ask Price
- its Bid Price, like you said, is RM0.18
- since there are buyers who want to buy above RM0.18 up to RM0.225, all these prices get higher priority and everything above RM0.18 are listed first

that OPEC are freezing oil output
yesterday very good economic data from the US (manufacturing, construction spending, industrial production, -- all have been better than expected)
oversupply of oil in the US but gasoline demand is also greater

ben_ns, I am at the side line but feel like the trend is still up
1) There are more good news than bad news.
2) Other than China, Hong Kong and Malaysia, there are more up days than down days for most markets the past 7 days.
3) Even there are bad news like the China's PMI data yesterday but HSI was up 700 points anyway.
4) oil is less volatile

Wei Jie Yau, other traders are buying H counters for pull back since HSI already up so much yesterday and today. They may think the major trend is still up but want to take advantage when index over too much.
can not be greedy because the pull back is maybe temporary and be ready to cut without hesitation. Since you are still new, better do not play pull back.

Wei Jie Yau, you should have bought a call warrant yesterday.
Even this morning you still had chance. Early morning, you should check the web site to see what's the price of your warrant if HSI index future is at what level
https://www.malaysiawarrants.com.my/tools?sp=dwsearch
then select Tools and Charts menu and then click Warrant Calculator
I see C14 around RM0.27 if index future at 19700
at market open, C14 was at RM0.245
at 9am, go to
http://etnet.com.hk/www/eng/futures/index.php
saw future at over 300, almost 19650++
so C14 should be around RM0.265 or RM0.27
at that time C14 was selling at RM0.25-0.26, to some people, it might be still attractive.
now maybe too late...

please note that HSI put warrants tracks the HSI future (19317 at 4:13pm yesterday), and not the actual HSI (ended 19,407)
Since the market maker is not available before 9:15am and after 4:13pm, the price offered by other players maybe too low or too high or reasonable.

May I know the sifus out there... what are the technical indicators that you use to predict if the trend of HSI is going to continue or reverse? Do you see it in the candlestick chart or chart patterns?
The reason I ask is because HSI touched 19300 at about 2:32pm yesterday and it pulled back to 19260. At that time I wonder if 19300 was the top and I wished I knew a reliable indicator that I could rely on. I know I must trade mechanically and have to fight the emotion.

Wei Jie Yau, Crude oil is important but it is not a big concern unless it is a big gain/drop.

ben_ns, we may have to change our view especially short term view based on the recent events. Take our KLCI. After it reached 1680 points the other day, suddenly it was bearish for 3 or 4 days in a row, losers outnumbered gainers and it looked like buyers were at the sidelines. Even brent oil at U$35 could not move our index at all and I thought the bull already left us. Today I saw the index was quite firm and gainers outnumbered losers at the end. Now I think the bullish trend will continue. Often time I may have to change my view in the morning before market open after looking at the news and data.
some of the seniors have been trading stocks for so long that they can smell the wind change. They are very experienced. They play both call or put warrants according to the trend.

penny stock, turnaround story. Definitely worth the time to follow up the development of this company to see if there is a chance to hit it big.

luckyear, call and put warrants are for short term play, can be a few minutes, a few hours, next day, a few days etc. Usually we do not keep until expiry date.
