last night the US Existing Home Sales data were worse than expected. 2 Federal Reserve officials supported the case for a hike in interest rates sooner rather than later.

Atlanta Fed President Dennis Lockhart said there was sufficient economic momentum to justify a further rate hike "possibly as early as the meeting scheduled for end of April".

San Francisco Federal Reserve Bank President John Williams told Market News International that April or June would be "potential times for a rate hike." if economic data provides a backdrop for such a policy move.

NEWHAND, you are right. We are paying premium for warrants and the premium shrinks more and more when it is getting nearer to expiry date.

For this reason, it is better to buy C14 for intra-day trade and C17 for longer trade but most likely C14 will provide the bigger move.

C14's value may have lost about 2 sen after the weekends but if HSI up a lot, C14 may increase big enough to offset this loss of value.

It is a good idea to clear part or all of your warrants before lunch break because we can not act during 1pm-2:30pm when HSI is in session

C14 is mainly for intra-day trading since it is close to expiry... unless there is a big news/data the next day. Buy C17 if you want to hold longer term

HSI-C14 loses about 1 sen a day with 2-3 weeks remaining, and loses about 2-3 sen a day with 1 week remaining. Therefore it is more suitable for intra day trade as it approaches expiry date.
