from the table in the link above, unless numbers greatly deviated, likely no policy change will be carry out until further sign and more sustainable improvement recorded. but even so, with EU still so weak, stimulus simply not going away this year.

nikkei seems to play by itself :D but printing massive yen will have impact to USD. btw China seen up trend despite weaker manufacturing output. EU still suffer 12.2% unemployment

Fed already said so long jobless claims stay above 6.5%, there won't be any immediate change. latest survey so far indicates minor change only

since 40c? long time ago means u could be having 100% gains by now, congratulate! amprop is fortunate to have recurring rental, highway & power income, properties development is niche rather than theme driven, balanced with UK international properties market. healthy cash level with sustainable DY. once recommended by coldeye, certainly a counter to be considered especially in time of uncertainty.
juz a cheap view, yr $ yr choice :

if not the sudden plug of nikkei, klci could have seen another 1800 break thru. now the heat is cold off plus uncertainty on U.S, without new catalyst it will be difficult to continue the cycle. if najib pour another round of etp projects soon enough plus no further "wonder" from global market, maybe klci sentiment can improve, especially to properties counters rely on local market. juz a cheap view... how about u? what do u think?
2013-06-01 18:10 | Report Abuse
good run already, maybe should focus back property counters with good div yield, best with strong core earnings

consider:
On track to achieve a record-high profit. Management indicates that the group is finally set to receive its first resource sharing fee from Maxis in May after months of delay in getting the authority’s approval due to technical issues. Although the exact quantum was not disclosed, we estimate that Maxis could potentially pay up to RM25m based on our channel checks with the other industry players. The one-off fee is expected to boost the group’s FY13 earnings significantly and meet our net profit estimate of RM23.6m (~10 fold YoY). To recap, REDtone had in July 2012 entered into an infrastructure and spectrum sharing agreement (NSA agreement) with Maxis to fast track both the companies’ 4G LTE services rollout.

seems recovery pace still slow, qe will not have much change... especially EU still in recession. but jpn printing yen could boost USD.

for good counter like this and a host of many others, the biggest price threat is not from the counter itself or KLCI, but the broader markets, especially U.S as you know... so, do keep an eye on that :)
of cos, if u have been following REDtone since last year Nov, there is virtually nothing to worry about.
enjoy the weekend!

property counters with strong earnings backup will be sticky :)
2013-05-31 17:46 | Report Abuse
actually, 70c was much to be expected with coming qtr result, DTTB juz accelerated the process. should REDtone really gotcha the project, another round of hike can be expected given broader markets remains positive. believe the bottomline stays the same, REDtone is to continue make good progress :)

not bad :) or can try comparing peer (similar market cap level for example), note those without such core earning already traded above $1.3 at least, yet they do not have a balance of projects like amprop
no worry, your $ your choice :D
2013-05-31 09:05 | Report Abuse
apart from nta, the core recurring earnings is also a key. take a look at q4 report - operating segment, say engineering & infra alone, that's already > 6c year to-date, excluding all other property or misc income. amprop properties business is balance with local and foreign (U.K). property projects in U.K has such a high margin no project in MY can match, u can find all the on-going projects in latest annual report, including a 1400a sibujaya project.
resilient as it is, this is a counter > $1

cut the P/E crab, such info is everywhere on the web. just answer the question, how many % u made via tambun and huayang investment??? note ivory is much lower in cost vs tambun and huayang, yet till date it brings 26% profit to investors, merely a month
see the point? u can have yr own way of value a counter, but other can have their way to making real $$$. why r u so eager to prove other is wrong? share your view and let other judge it by themselves, full stop.

so did u get profit ratio of 43 and 38 thru your investment in tambun and huayang shares, starting post GE13?

latest malton qtr report is quite a surprise, hopefully next qtr report will shed some light, otherwise it will be danger. another worry is plenty of cash call waiting ahead, while fortunately malton is able to dispose asset to cover back.
having say this, mkland is not that bad isn't it? except that mr.kasi hahahahaaa...

2013-05-30 11:45 | Report Abuse
ivory current price is few times below any of the list, so what's the big fuzz about it's profit from figure perspective; lower that others?

bro... sekarang ni 2013, apa sa bincang 2007 pulak?! hahahaa... anyway, the interest rate, gdp play the key role. believe so far so good (manageable level), or else v should c gov loosing up constraint for foreigner to buy in. so far, especially affordable home is still very much in demand. of cos, diff loc diff pricing :)
