share price wont drop bcos of increase in base rate. in fact the opposite is true. banks can charge and profit more. any drop in bank share price then is usually caused by other factors. wont be surprise if the impeding US rate hikes are causing hot money to be on standby to be invested back in US markets.

Anyway I manage to resolve my price error as my remisier confirms the price in the portfolio can be changed manually. The system this time around automatically stated the market price at issued date at 8.83 but this can be changed to 0.00 to reflect the lower average stock price

Hhmm... I might be wrong, the DRP actually increases the average stock price in your portfolio. The DRP shares are added into your portfolio at the opening price (/ last closing price ) of the day the shares are issued. I didnt notice this during the last DRP exercise. Anyone can confirm the average stock price will increase (assuming your portfolio share price is way lower than the market price of course).

I have no doubt that PBB is very safe as a bank since it is conservative (too damn conservative until dividend so little if you ask me). My question then is why need to raise more cash when raising cash in capital market is not cheap nor free. Since they do not have any material liability that I can think so, my guess is could they be raising cash for possible expansion plans in near future? anyone share the same thoughts?

@Sharefisher my PBB cost is also slightly below 3.80 and still holding on the small quantity and wont sell as the huge margin allows me to sleep soundly at night. it wont be easy to get back below 4.00 let alone 3.80 as market now sees the potential of stock to go as high as 4.80 (current TP). If I have stocks with huge surplus margin / paper gain, i'll just sit back and enjoy the ride. realising and locking in profits and then the stress of looking out for more bargains in future is tedious in my opinion (unless one does not intent to buy this stock again). for me, I would rather 'trade' and lock in profits on stocks that dont usually give out dividends (e.g. Greatec) and hold on tight to the lower priced stocks that I intend to keep and that give out high dividend which will translate to better DY if you know what I mean. like the recent 2021 dividend from MBB is 7.22% return as my stock price is very low. but then again, everyone's idea of investing is different, no right no wrong. just sharing my thoughts on this bro
