@sharefisher its okay, I am only one of the many who own the shares, i dont own the whole company. any who, my average cost for MBB and PBB is considered quite low. it can drop ex date and i can still sleep soundly. our MY banks are quite resilient. unless there is fraud or scandal, it is highly unlikely the bank will collapse. if the MY banking collapse especially the countries top 2 banks (by cap size) we all go holland also as EPF also got stake in them too

@wynwyn I agree with you, anyway we shouldn't throw mud at any counter or anyone. especially more so if we own them.. unless its Serbadak or Sumatec. #justsaying :-)

actually, price fall so what? not like we are speculating or day trading this counter. of course would be nice to see it reach 8.50. as long as it doesn't change the fact that we will still be expecting 8.1% dividend this year, I don't mind

@Maverickeking Did you really check the recent dividends? I owned both PBB and MBB, unfortunately PBB very prudent (read: selfish) with dividend - 2020 (0.13) and 2021-1st (0.075). Very far compared to MBB - average 0.50+. Luckily my portfolio is only limited to MBB:PBB 3:1. Still keeping PBB because my entry cost is very low @3.80 - post bonus issue. Otherwise I consolidate to MBB already. If 2021 is based on 2020 dividend for PBB, I only get 3.42% compared to MBB which I expect to get 8.1%

only downside I foresee is that if the TP is a reality in the near future, this means that DRP offered will also be priced higher as well. so smart money says to grab and accumulate on the next dip when you can.

@choysun yes, if they maintain means no more ambiguity nor a possible reduction. of course if they raise would be better for Tenaga. but maintaining is anytime better than a reduction as it will affect profitability. venturing more into solar & EV initiatives would also help the bottom line.

Yes, I took a big hit but thats Investment for you. you cut loss in one counter and switch to another. In no time, I will make back whatever the shortfall.

I agree with sifu stkoay. there is a famous saying that 'to succeed you must know the rules of life and playing it well' . Life itself is a gamble. example, why do some people like Uncle Lim can be so rich while others only talk and are jealous? I can share with you a story about my ex-boss who's related to Genting Uncle Lim family by marriage. He shared that when the government wanted to develop Genting Highlands no one wanted as many challenges and dangerous including communists, mine fields, very costly and yes, wild animals like tigers. Long story short, he took the challenge and develop it and are now reaping the fruits of labor. Same here, we can buy MBB when its on the dip or just observe in disbelieve about opportunity lost. forget about all the white noise here and there asking you to buy plantation and what not. at the end of the day, fortune favors the brave.
