@ Alvinkua, my main concern for Symlife is the quality of deliverables. Their Star Resi should not be affected since Samsung is the main con. But their other projects like The Wharf has a bad reputation for poor quality. What is your opinion?

Forgot to mention about the 5 storey block of retail units. Already 80% sold. Once the Tower 2 is 100% sold, Star Resi already past the danger stage. FY2017 onwards will mark the change of fortune for SymLife once the 700M unbilled sales kick in.

It is about RM550 psf. Now, Tower 2 is about 30% sold. Symlife will break even after selling off Gower 2. Big profit margin here...

If you missed the RM1.93 range...don't worry...opportunity will come again. The private placement is done to institutional investors. They will definitely want a cheaper price per share and more of the shares to make up for the alloted dollar contribution. This way, they can stand to benefit from Capital related exercise such as better dividends, better participation in rights issue, etc.
Hence, this means that someone will press the share price down again when it cpmrs to the weighted average 5 days. Now the increase in share price maybe temporary due to the current euphoria in the construction sector following the awarding of MRT projects.
Let us wait until the price get depressed to RM1.9x range before we move in to buy more, shall we?

@ yeekarwai88, hahaha - that is what i wanna say too,,,,,AZRB winning the MRT2 viaduct package is expected. During the AGM, Tan Sri Kok Onn already state that one package is reserved for bumi. Hence, now we know that this is for AZRB.
It is highly likely that Gadang will win 1 package - if not , why susah susah go get private placement? Gadang is so bloody cash rich in the first place...~!!

current climate/ sentiment - maybe rights can risk being under subscribed...furthermore, rights issue is more time consuming than private placement..... anyway - KokOnn is an honest man - he will not short change the shareholders..

dui...Ms. Jolin Lai......last time, i made a mistake - bought this counter...from this counter - i learnt the bitter lesson of the importance of management integrity - selling Batu Kawan land at RM45 per square feet...and running a losing F&B business and promising to pay dividend but does not...- shows management does not have much integrity ...
i learnt from my mistake liaw...
anyway - what i have lost from this counter - i made it back from Gadang...

Take this as an opportunity to buy more!
The basis of this private placement is probably engineered to enable institutional investors to accumulate more shares. That is why they do not use the intrinsic value of the company but rather NTA. NTA will always show a value than intrinsic value.
As mentioned earlier, private placement got dick shit to do with intrinsic value of the company. Place yourself in the shoes of the institutional investors. Probably, during a "Teh tarik" session with Tan Sri Kok Onn, the you (institutional investors) and Kok Onn has come up with a predetermined funding number = X.
Hence, you want to achieve X with the maximum number of shares. This means that you want to be alloted with more shares than with less shares. With more shares , this will benefit you in terms of dividends and any future Capital management exercise such as warrants and bonus.
So, to achieve an X level of funding , this is P price x Q quantity.
You want to have more quantities and not less.
We cannot compare this private placement with Air Asia because Air Asia is a private placement with the owners . it constitutes a different dynamic.
Honestly, if I got the funds, I will sapu more at this price since someone will press it even lower .
