According to Lim, Plantation business can start being profitable next year due to more palm trees become matured. Now his plantation mostly in the young age which makes their yield per hectare low, and next year will be much higher due to palms entering mature stage. Lets hope he knows what he talking about and can be profitable in FY20.

As opposed to IWCity, the cash from operations have been negative, meaning need keluar duit just to run it. So, PLS is considered slightly better but it's really a long term investment. For now market will take this as negative news. However, the toll will still be there around RM1++ valuation

At least PLS is cash flow positive from operations for the last 4 years, but the only problem is how much CAPEX need to be invested for future? The deal is not all together bad

My take is govt won't bother with Duke 1,2 and 3 for now, too expensive for them to buy out. Maybe 1 or 2 years later. The only reason Govt target Gamuda's 4 highways is because the traffic on those tolls are among the highest and it would help the cost of living of people. Duke,1,2 and 3 is only starting to build up their traffic.

Cut toll rate but extend contract period. I dont see the problem. As long they get compensated for the loss in toll price for the extension of years based on NPV

I dont think gov will abolish tolls by force. The simple fact is the toll all have bonds attached to them. And govt want foreign investments to come in, not go out. They wont do anything rash to scare out investors
