@simple30 HLT's movements have been quite interesting, there hasnt really been big volume sell offs. It is very susceptible to leap upwards when the big volume buying comes - and feels like it's coming soon.

That's basically why I have been holding. Like JT5774 told us earlier, it may take a while for HLT to gather some powerful bulls, and I have a feeling it's just around the corner.

Hi guys. No offense to anyone at all, but personally I wouldn't trust anyone who would vigorously promote the crap that is NetX, and as can be seen, one of them is here. Now he's talking about Bonus Issue for HLT, which I think is a conjecture that should just be taken lightly. As for his other stock recommendations, I have no opinion on that, but the fact that he promoted that crap has somehow tarnished his credibility, regardless of how much of it he has prior to this fact.

As for HLT, I believe we will see better days ahead if it closes at the top of the candlestick today without any upper wick at all. Otherwise, I'm willing to give it until next week before I can decide on a change of plans. Happy trading, everyone!

Hi @tanhuatkawkaw. Apologies as I have no idea why the director would let go of the warrants last week. My guess is they're trying to amass more mother shares instead. Or maybe they're just cashing out to buy a new house/car/handbag/whatnot. But one thing for sure is this is no cause for concern. Comfort director repeatedly sold massive numbers of shares some time ago, yet the share price kept going up since then.

@bone Thanks for that but I’m no expert, unfortunately. I’m just a student of the market still trying to study its ins and outs and the techniques I can adopt to beat it. Whatever insight I can share is just so small as I have yet to acquire sufficient knowledge and skills I will need to be a decent trader.

I have no clue about Esceram’s fundamentals, but I’m sure the institutional investors know something about the company. I’m deducing that Esceram’s fundamentals are no better than HLT’s which leads to the smart money not really being interested in Esceram as much as they are in HLT. And they have the capacity to move the market, so since HLT moves ahead of Esceram despite both being at pretty much the same level in March, we know where the lion’s share of the money is being poured into. And of course, even more money is being pumped into stocks that are even a bigger deal than HLT.

@oskchoon My comment on Tuesday, 14/07:

My opinion is that traders are being rightfully careful about the son. Of course the difference should be 20 sen, but the fact is that it takes 2 weeks to convert the son to mother. The lagging exists just to make allowances for any uncertainties within the conversion period. Another possibility is that once mother has stabilised, the son will shoot up, just like a chicken following her mother crossing the road.

@bowman To me, the clearing of old stock is a good move. It seems like HLT is making way for something much bigger, and we'll probably find out upon the next QR announcement. The company's finances is also healthy, so I'm sure if business turns out great, sky is the limit for HLT. Then at the same time, maybe the directors are trying to accumulate more shares too, which is why the stock price movement is rather sluggish.

@bone That's kind of anticlimactic. I imagine it will be a huge deal if HLT gets to spread its wings on the big names in the glove sector for not only the design, engineering and installation but also for maintenance of the glove dipping lines. That should push the stock price even further than RM2.

Stock

@bone I respect that. When we're investing in a company, we can't simply fall in love with it and reject the possibility that it may be a flop. We have to be realistic.

Back to the triple dipping doodad, I can't seem to find any news about the Big 4 or any other companies engaging with HLT for their expansion plans. Do you have any info on that?

Hi @bone. Thanks for that. Maybe you can check this out:

https://www.thestar.com.my/business/2020/03/14/hlt-global-bets-on-new-technology

"Via the agreement, she says, HLT’s unit, HL Advance, will likely be the first glove-dipping line maker to introduce the high-density triple former assembly to the market, which is the latest in rubber glove manufacturing technology."

"“Given that the patent applications are filed in major glove-producing countries such as Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and China, we anticipate that upon achieving commercial and technical viability, any glove manufacturers that are interested in adopting the technology would need to work with us - directly or indirectly, ” she says."

To give @oskchoon the benefit of the doubt, he may have wrongly worded his comment. The article says 'first', not 'the only', although from my understanding it is not impossible too that being 'the only one' means other companies have to go through HLT to get this technology.

https://www.theedgemarkets.com/article/hlt-globals-share-trade-suspended-company-signs-patent-licence-deal

"HLT Global, which is principally involved in the design, installation, testing and commissioning of glove-dipping lines, said it has teamed up with AF Solution and Saravana, who is the inventor of the high density triple former holder assembly technology."

@bowman Not sure what you were asking, but if you were referring to the triple rubber thing, this is it.

Building on bone's statement, I do believe that HLT is worth at least RM2, but that shouldn't be the question. Rather, it's can the price get to that level? If it can, when? And more importantly, will it? Carepls, the former penny stock has proven that it is possible though if you asked yourself 6 months ago where Carepls would be today, RM2 would be a long shot. Unfortunately, the stock market is teeming with people of highly polarised sentiments from fear to excitement and the stock will need to deal with these kind of people if it's going to realise the glory that Carepls has achieved. And if it will go up, it's going to be a bumpy road and don't ever expect it to simply shoot all the way to RM2 with no problem at all.

That is my opinion. Whether you guys think I know what I'm talking about or I'm simply talking out of my rear, it's up to you.

Well, the market went as I have expected in the past 30 minutes. Gap down for glove stocks especially for Topglov, but at 10% down, even that wasn't very big and nothing to be concerned about. At 7% in the green area now, how bad do you think this news can be? Investors and traders are shrugging it off and busy collecting the very much sought after, discounted shares. I believe we have seen the bottom yesterday and HLT are on track towards the next strong upward move. HLT, Carepls and Comfort charts are looking very nice and HLT will retest the resistance line at 0.815. Best case scenario today is if HLT will have a surge in volume and price and close above 0.71 to form the bullish engulfing candlestick, in which case I can pretty much guarantee you'll be able to laugh all the way to the bank on Monday or Tuesday. Whether that can happen today, we'll find out.

@AnnH, my opinion is that we will see some more upward move tomorrow before the next retracement. Looking at the chart, the CCI value for today is 135.99 which is a strong buy signal and the candlestick body has yet to cross the upper-BB, meaning there's more room for a bullish move. The candlestick pattern is the morning star which is a bullish signal and the volume is still far from the previous peak volume which was on the 13/05. Is HLT going to repeat the 12-13/05 move again? I can't say for sure, but we'll find out tomorrow and I would suggest that you just monitor tomorrow morning session.

Watch out guys. If it closes 0.71 or below, that's the shooting star candlestick you're looking at and that's a bad sign. If it's above 0.71, then just be cautious tomorrow. It's a very volatile market and as can be seen, KLCI may be taking a break in the next few days. Looking at it from another angle, it may be the time for 2nd tier glove stocks to rise since they have been sluggish while KLCI and the big 4 were rocketing to the moon. And again, be cautious.

Hi Masin. Unfortunately, positivity is not going to help in our trading quest. The market behaves in the most unexpected ways and it will always catch us off guard. This is why I would always insist that you take my comments with a pinch of salt regardless of my predictions.

Back to HLT, I’m still positive because I simply don’t see any signs of downtrend, and again, as I would usually assert, I may be wrong. The drop in the past few days does not, in my opinion, signal a downtrend. I think we can all start to worry if it falls to 0.58 which shall be a clear sign of downtrend.

Is 0.65 the lowest price we can get thus far, as opposed to my earlier posting? It seems like even 0.66 is already below the neckline. The trading volume today is also reassuring as one of the criteria of the IH&S pattern is that it must have a very low (ideally the lowest) volume towards the rightmost end of the pattern. We'll confirm tomorrow or Wednesday, and then let's hope we can already celebrate jagdish1970's birthday next week with the profits we will have gained. Those who wish to reenter or add their position may want to wait until it breaks the neckline at around the 0.67 - 0.69 level. Those daring ones may have already entered at 0.65. Whatever the case, let's sit tight and watch.

Hi guys. Looking at the chart, it seems like it is possible that HLT is going to form the inverse head and shoulders pattern which is a very strong bullish signal. My guess over the weekends was that it was going to drop to the 0.63 - 0.65 area and today we have seen that it hit a low of 0.65 and now it is holding at 0.655. My personal view is that it may drop a bit more after 4.30pm, and if my prediction is to come to fruition, we will a see slow rise within the next few days before hitting the roof within the next one or two weeks when the big 4 are going to take a little rest. Happy trading, everyone!

Am always glad to share though I'm still very far from being an expert. @l3ryan, due to the very low volume of today, I think it cannot go further down. My guesstimate is that the support at 0.69 (the mid-BB for today) will hold and yesterday may be the last day for the CCI to tick downward before Wave 1 is complete. If you're looking to collect more, this might be the last chance at this price. Again, just my opinion and any substantiated refutation is welcome.

I should add that the trading volume for HLT is quite low at the moment if it is going to attract attention of traders, it should have a massive volume. Usually the volume would increase for 3 days before forming a spike, so based on this, I would say that the spike wouldn't happen until tomorrow, probably not even Friday.

Hi tressele. Thanks for asking. My opinion is that HLT is and will be in a sideway movement at least for the next few days. I'm basing this on JT5774's statement the other day about how long it took for this counter to complete the impulsive wave. If you look at the chart, HLT took approximately 19 trading days to form Wave 1 (from 01/04 to 27/04) after it crossed the mid-Bollinger band. HLT just broke the same line last Monday, and assuming it's going to take more or less the same number of days to complete Wave 1, then I believe it's going to move slowly upward in the next 3 weeks before retracing a bit. Whether it will exceed RM1, we will find out, and my judgement is that it will. Just my opinion and I don't need to postulate that anything can happen.

This counter seems to be taking its time accumulating volume which is highly essential to push it further upwards but there is an increasing buying interest in HLT. My guess is that it’s going to move sideways for a few more days, or at least until we can obtain more clues from the next sessions. In retrospect, HLT really has been the slow younger sibling of the glove stocks so this rather dullish movement is nothing surprising. Hope you guys have a lovely weekend. JT5774, would you like to pitch in?

Hi AnnH and tanhuatkawkaw. Thanks for the request. So based on the chart I’m looking at, HLT has yet to break the mid-Bollinger band to give a ‘buy’ signal, but the good news is we’re getting really closer there. CCI is still in the slightly negative territory, which is also not yet a ‘buy’ signal, but it’s ticking upwards.

The morning session was quite the boner, but I don’t think HLT is any more useless than some of us think it is. Looking at those times when the glove stocks were starting to rise, HLT didn’t exactly follow the others all the time. But now HLT has risen 7 fold since 3 months ago, 10 at its peak, which is among the best, percentage-wise. Have patience, guys. We’ll get there. By my estimate, HLT has good fundamentals to reach at least RM2, but you guys may opt to leave before we get there. I hope I’ve hit the mark, but any disagreement is welcome.

With many people still screaming "Sell!" left, right and centre due to rumours about bubble burst as well as the recent selldown, the panic may still persist, but you know what, only a handful of people can recognise a turning point when they see one and more people will only jump on the bandwagon later. Whatever happened yesterday didn't disrupt this bull run. Moreover, S&P 500 has broken the pivot point, to use the term I have just learnt, at around 3050 two days ago, and last night's bull run confirmed the upward move. @ZzzTrader It doesn’t have to be lower than the candle. When I said you can find it at the top or bottom, it’s supposed to be at the top or bottom of the trend. Of course it doesn’t seem like it’s at the bottom, but it’s even further away from the top. And I must admit I don’t know 100% for sure so next we’ll just have to wait for the confirmation. I’m sure we’re all hoping for the best but if shit happens then I suggest we devise a proper strategy in advance for what to do.
