counter like JCY is sickening...so is unisem, as the industry is still in the doldrum. U need lots of patience waiting for the price to recover. Each time it rebounds, it goes lower and lower. Hold till year. Yes and No ...switch portfolio if u think u can't wait...

Not tomorrow though. But if mkt persists to be bouyant, 1.17 is achievable within the next few trading sessions.

Hope it'll break the previous high of 1.17, which is the next resistance. If it can, then it'll head north to above 1.20.

O&G (OVERWEIGHT çè)
Earnings Review: The Wheat
§ 3Q results were in line with our sector preview ‘Sifting the Wheat from the Chaff’. We still believe selected O&G stocks will continue to outperform and thus provide a “defensive” option in an uncertain market.
§ Although most O&G stocks posted disappointing 3Q results, earnings selected O&G stocks which have high earnings visibility overlaid with growth potential met ours and the markets expectations, share performance for these stocks vis-a-vis the market was superior reaffirming our BUY ratings and overweight call. As predicted, a lack of 3Q earnings catalysts for MHB (HOLD), BHIC (SELL) or Bumi Armada (HOLD) caused results to disappoint.
§ The 7 successful 3Q12 discoveries in Malaysia and Petronas’s qoq 3Q12 1.3% decrease in hydrocarbon production reiterate our view that focused spending to resuscitate and/or expedite O&G production will continue and benefitting selected O&G players and reaffirming our overweight call.
§ Smaller cap O&G stocks that now have clarity or earnings and growth such as Uzma and Perdana Petroleum have become attractive M&A targets which may provide a catalyst for stock prices.
§ Top picks in order of preference;
§ SapuraKencana (BUY, TP RM3.20 20x 01FY14 EPS of 16 sen/share),
§ Dayang (BUY, TP: RM2.65, 14x FY13 EPS of 19 sen/share)
§ Perisai (BUY, TP: RM1.55, 16x FY13 EPS of 10 sen/share)
§ Uzma (BUY, TP: RM2.10, 10x FY13 EPS of 21 sen/share)
§ Perdana Petroleum (BUY, TP: RM1.50, 14x FY EPS of 10.7 sen/share)
§ Wah Seong (BUY, TP: 2.10, 13x FY13 EPS of 16 sen/share)
