Thanks @LubeTrader for the info.
So I guess the strengthening of the MYR will increase the profit for Gas Msia. The next question will be can this appreciation of MYR continues or will we be back at old level like 1 USD = 4.7 MYR....haha

I got one question. Will USD affect the earnings of Gas Msia? If USD continue to fall against MYR, will this be better or worse for Gas Msia earnings? Anyone here can comment?

Aiyoh, you cannot compare glove with tech or chip stocks. Any tom, dick and harry can start glove manufacturing. And not forgetting China is also producing glove. We know China can really throw prices if they want to.
But chip production not so easy. Very capital intensive and high tech industry. Not many will be interested to join or compete.
Plus whether you like it or not, in the near future all items will need chip. EV car, household electrical items, office equipment, lab research etc.
Just a temporary setback by weak holders or contra players that do not have the foresight to look into the future. Only one news article of iphone slowing demand in one quarter and they panic sell.
Its a good time to buy for those who does not have this blue chip tech counter.

maybe some opportunist trying spread or induce panic selling and then grab some when the price is low.

but i don't fully understand the panic selling.
before election, gkent did not openly proclaim support to previous PM like some other corporate big shots.
nor did he condemn tun M or PH.
smart businessman usually try not to offend the govt of the day.
gkent also supplied water meter to PH staes before the elections.
so i really don't see what is the problem if there is a change in govt.

tun mentioned many times to follow the rule of law.
this is a company running a legitimate business. and a really successful one that is. not some shell company like 1mdb.
so if we follow the rule of law, future contracts will be given to gkent if the company can dish out the best package.
if tun is really the vengeful type, you think he'll work with guan eng and mat sabu? and vice versa.
like i said before, gkent is a well run company, high roe and profit margin, and many analyst said one of the best among its peers.
look at it from the business pov.
if the share falls just bcoz some rumors says the owner is the golf budyy of former PM then many listed companies should be falling now. bcoz as we'll know many company directors also buddy-buddy with big shots in govt offices.
this is how most business is run.

"limit down I also no wanan buy,cos the future prospect is bad.PH won't give out big contracts to gkent"
i don't understand the above quote by apolloang
on what basis you claim that PH won't give contracts to gkent?
if gkent can offer competitive package during tender why PH won't give them deal?
did gkent boss openly support former pm last time?
gkent is a pure business entity.
even the previous selangor PH state govt gave water meter contracts to gkent last time.
if PH is so vengeful, then they would have immediately close tv3 and star newspaper when the won GE14.
i really hope apolloang canat least give some factual answer to my above questions instead of playing up sentiment.

What bad news?
They just announced QR. Result ok plus 4c div.
Sometimes during panic selling, there's opportunity in collecting cheap to those who miss the boat earlier.
Stock: [UCHITEC]: UCHI TECHNOLOGIES BHD

Just a hypothetical question.
Even though the owner is a Taiwanese, we know that Uchi's main business is based in this country.
But the owner also has a small business interest in Taiwan if I'm not mistaken.
If China decides to invade or go to war with Taiwan, how will this affect Uchi's share price?
Since our main core business is located here in Malaysia, do you think it will affect Uchi's business here?
Its just a "what if" question scenario.
What do you guys think?
