When the RSS choose company to short, they should not have chosen glove counters.

Besides having good fundamentals, the owners of the business are very personally attached with the business, and involve in the running of the business. When you short their counters, they feel it PERSONALLY. That why they launch counter attack SBB at critical times.

These glove counter have not been institutionalised yet, unlike Maybank, CIMB..the owners are themselves another institutions like PNB, ASB, LTAT..so to them maybank or cimb is just another investment amongst their many investments, don't really give a damn.

So when you screw around with the glove counters, you also screw around with the owners who are very personal.

If you want to come here and bring down the price, make sure say something that works.

Stock market is not so simple as u all think purely with PE and EPS calculation can push up the price. Stock price can't go up on itself if no hot money no short term funds and no big players involved in speculation.

Only minority 10% people in stock market like u focus on company financial results but majority 90% do not see company financial results just do short term speculation to make money. Thus the super profit of company can't effectively stimulate the majority for speculation. Without speculation stock price can't go up much.

To be fair , shorting provides a more robust market participation for the upside and downside, and it can be considered a necessary mechanism for a proper market functioning BUT..in this case, they choose the wrong counter to short.

They have chosen the big 4 glove counters..all with strong fundamentals and big profitability

They should go short some other counters with weakening fundamentals and declining profits ( sorry i will not name them here as it will offend supporter of those counters who visit here).

Yes..Glove is cheap, but to set up factory is not one two day affairs. if not my neighbour furniture factory towkay also want to enter the game. meantime pandemic is spreading like wild fire, they. need some player with well established expereinced to set it up. if so easy, why only got few big players worldwide. some of the new glove wannabies like mahsing also take at least 1 to 2 years to fully commissioned the plant.

I am sure the govt will provide tax incentives for super glove factory in US, especially when it comes to critical PPE of national and strategic importance. Look at the type of super incentives they offer taiwanese chip maker to set up manufacturing in US, to attract them there, when they know that there is shortage of chips worldwide.

Dude, ts not all about cost alone. Its about establishing goodwill with the local government by creating jobs locally, and in return enjoy certain benefits, such as special incentives.

Most hospitals there are state supported health care facilities under health Ministry, an they have mandate to purchase locally with faster delivery time.

If you want cheapest cost, go set up factory in bangladesh, got tons of direct cheap labour there

Short sellers therefore has time pressure working against them, time is not on their side
