@yousellibuy
SAS must be very happy to hear what you say.
From my opinion, you are either Robert Kuok, that you have too much money to burn
OR you are a SAS rep.
Since Mr Robert Kuok is highly sound in his investment (that's why he is the richest Malaysian), Ithink you are most probably the latter.
Dont come here to bully or to confuse retailers like us la. Our money is hard earned money.
Since you have been collecting since 88 cents, YOU MUST BE NOW THE LARGEST SHAREHOLDER IN SAS, because the share price has been dropping consistently 0.87, 0.85, 0.82, 0.76, 0.74, 0.71, 0.695, 0.68, 0.67, 0.66, 0.64, 0.635, 0.62, 0.60, 0.595, 0.58, 0.57, 0.55, 0.535, 0.5, 0.505, 0.50, 0.485, 0.48, 0.47, 0.44, 0.435, 0.37, 0.34, 0.33.... as of today is at a new low at RM 0.33.

jibbie
overambitious management still want to do one M&A every year. where to get money from? borrowings already increased a lot compared to previous year. share price so low dont make sense to offer right issues/private placements. what's happening to sasbadi? anyone who went for AGM can explain??
19/03/2018 17:25
@Jibbie, i agree with you totally. I dont understand the logic of SAS MD presentation. Borrow money from the bank to do M&A. And in the interview with Hong Leong earlier this month, the MD says they will do another M&A this year (maybe he's TRYING VERY HARD to manipulate investors emotions to hold on to SAS).

@kevin008, i applaud your faith in the managing director of SAS. But i seriously hope that you are not relatad to him in any ways, because what you have said so far in this forum is heavily biased.
Do you know that listed companies don't mind paying handsome sums just so that they can be interviewed at investors forums, events etc. This is my point. The MD of SAS should be spending his time wisely to RUN THE COMPANY WELL, NOT TO BE THINKING & TRYING HARD TO GET MORE MONEY FROM THE INVESTORS.
Once the purpose of a company is skewed, things will come crumbling down.
Please look at the facts and figures kevin008. For example the cash flow, this company borrowed RM15,000,000 from bank last year, and despite that, it has a cash flow DEFICIT of more than RM 2 million. Meaning that if without the bank borrowing, this company should be having a CASH FLOW DEFICIT of more than RM 17,000,000 now.
Many of us have suffered from this company.

Finally the truth sinks in.
My friend was recruited as one of their MLM scheme selling their digital products. He left at the end due to the bad experience he had. A few reasons he gave:
1. Incompetent Product. The digital product by sasbadi is merely a digitalization of its school books, it is just a book but in digital format. Other products in the market offer lively interaction with great graphics and customised marking. It was a hype with SAS product initially, but true as he told me, now everything is crumbling. Product is king, a good product will yield good revenue.
Other better products in the market are eg: Fullamark, khanacademy, ilearning.
2. Weak training. He was told to go to fight a war but with minimal training and resources. No info on the market trend. Was quite a humiliating experience when his prospects showed him other better products in the market.
3. Low and late commission. Commissions promised was not received in due time. Despite repeated reminders and 'begging; 'wages were delayed. Dont ever say yes to them.
4. Poor management. Infighting between own people. No clear line between sales territory. at the end, sales lead and sales rep overlapped, resulted in price war.

My 2 cents worth
1) In Malaysia there are many publishing companies, not just sasbadi and pelangi. Eg Oxford Fajar, Pan Asia, Cemerlang, Karangkraf, Ilmu Bakti, Hup Lick, PTS and many more. These are huge companies. Eg Karangkraf in the owner of Sinar Harian. We dont have to invest in either sasbadi or pelangi. We can choose to not invest in either.
2) Money in the bank, passively, also gives interest. And interestingly, the dividend given by SAS is so low that its better to put your money in the bank. SAS has only given 1 cent this year. Come on!
3) Compare 5 yeras of investment in SAS and 5 years in NESTLE. NESTLE was RM45 in 2012, now its RM 95. If you say we are humans and we make mistake and its ok for the MD of SAS to make mistake, yes its true, but why make the mistake by investing in a loss making company? I dont have a say as to how SAS manages their company, but i can invest wisely and rightly.
4) refer to my point one.

i think thepainfulltruth has a strong point.
If you recall, just last Friday, 16/11/2017 23:17, RainT wrote:
RainT "0.745 .....another 1 year new low !!!!"
And now we are at RM 0.69.
7.38% drop in a week.
if RainT has not left SAS now he will still be suffering more.
Keep it up bro/sis, your info is helpful.

By looking at the current depreciation rate of -25.26%, from RM0.95 on 26 Oct 2017 to RM0.71 today 21 Nov 2017, SAS will reach RM0.50 in another 11 days.
Don't be too confident Quan, in this week alone already 2 listed companies goodbye from the market.

The future looks bleak for SAS.
Quarter report ended 28.02.18 is out but it is way below expectation.
Inventories RM 69,784,000
Receivables RM 63,405,000
Loans RM 20,787,000
Negative cash flow RM -8,385,000
1. The high inventories show that SAS products are not fast-moving(selling). Last quarter the MD said that the inventories will improve because it was unexpected, but my question to him is: "Why is it still high this quarter, considering this has been traditionally your best quarter of the year?"
2. High receivables show SAS's weak collection, possibly due to stagnant product hence bookshops unable to pay. or it may be due to its premature MLM scheme.
3. High Loans of RM 20,787,000 VS Revenue demonstrated its weak cash flow management. Over expending could be one of its fatal weakness. FYI, the MD promised at least a M&A a year.
4. A high NEGATIVE cash flow of -RM 8,385,000 for quarter ended 28.02.18, illustrates point 3 above further. On 28.02.2017, the cash flow was RM1,071,000 surplus. To simply put, the cash flow for this year is RM 9,456,000 WORSE than 2017 Q2.
The upcoming quarter, Q3 and Q4 are traditionally the worst quarters for SAS. good luck guys
