When I take up "The Star" delivered to my doorstep, I see large advertisement on the front page - "FREE SEAT" AirAsia. The promotion is back. Let's book for holiday end of this year as our gesture of thanks and goodwill to Tony and the team.

Lowwy : Myself also dont know, hope end of the year above RM 2.00 , after taking account all the EPS in 2016.

AAX price 0.55 sen after adjusted for right issue. Without adjustment, around 69 sen.
2016-03-05 19:23 | Report Abuse
If we ignore P/E ratio, comparative price between AAX and AirAsia, using similar price ratio between AAX and AirAsia at 1/08/2013, AAX price should be around RM 0.55 sen.
2016-03-05 19:21 | Report Abuse
if AAX price is destined to move higher, at equal P/E valuation, it should be around. 43cents.

Skng74 : Yes, as per PE, you have rightly adjusted core earnings and PE Ratio=6, then AAX price at that PE ratio is around 55 sen.
Currently AirAsia is more expensive compared with AAX. Taking into account "PAT" (not core earning, btw PAT is the actual earning used to calculate PE), P/E Ratio for AirAsia is higher than P/E Ratio for AAX. At equal valuation ratio or P/E Ratio, either AAX share price should turn higher or AirAsia share price move lower. ( This is not a statement to suggest buying or supporting AAX or to sell Airasia, but purely ballpark calculation of equal P/E ratio valuation).

Singinvestor: Preventing ourself to buy high and sell low is our own responsibility. That is the first rule of investing. I admitted that I made loss when I listen to rumours or I did not do proper study to analyse. I am a very busy engineer. But, when time permits, I did some analysis on certain companies, then I would make profit if I really invested into it. Only that, there are three occasions when I did deep study. First - AEON , Second, Hai-0 and Third - AA. I did not invest in AEON because it was capital intensive , the year was 2006-2008,. And Hai-O, around 2007-2009. did not invest because it sells alcohol (as medicine) and I was doing my Doctorate Degree courtesy to international scholarship...If I have invested in them, I would have become a multimillionaire. But now for AA, AAX,AAX-WA I was lucky that i picked up these counters and did a deep study on these counters. The challenge was - "there are hundreds or thousands of counters" in Bursa... We do not have time , so we have to be smart in selecting. The second challenge, was what information to look at and what to focus in. You can't listen to anyone , you have to make your own decision, if you have not found anything worth, keep on searching. One day, you will find it and make. To say so, the responsibility not to buy high and sell low is ultimately our own self and not anyone else. I may have made wrong decision to be engineer. Investment is a better career.

pussycat and ggecko : Thanks. I am using my year end bonus to invest. I had paid off my housing loan, and currently living in my other house... So, it seems I could either sell it or mortgage it for around 500K.

If , it really reaches RM 2.39 , then AAX-WA value would be RM 1.80 per big lot.
2016-03-04 09:58 | Report Abuse
LYH78 : I predict AAX mother share RM 2.39 at year end 2016 , PE Ratio = 10, Earning Per Share 23.6 sen (annual) and 5.9 sen (quarterly).

Three types of players . First, those bought at RM 0.70 cents and above. They have nightmare and would want to dispose as soon as the price reach their targeted price. Second, those who based the share price against their own internal valuation, will dispose once the price reach the valuation. Third, those who are in for profit, they make the market go up and down, by trying to profit at each up and down cycle, but the percentage of them who get extra profit by this decision is unknown.
2016-03-04 09:02 | Report Abuse
If AAX continue to create 5.9cents Earning Per Share/Quarter as shown in Q4 2015. Annually, at P/E Ratio= 10, the AAX price per share should be RM 2.39. Correct me if I am wrong.

The bankers and stockbroking analyst look at only past earning whereas current macroeconomics environment had changed and future macroeconomics environment will be better. That is the reason why P/E Ratio of AAX is less than 4 considering Q42015 result !
2016-03-02 19:49 | Report Abuse
Thanks Jayawin for that article, if indeed AirAsia is trading at 4.7 P/E ratio, thats mean AA is very cheap. Anything below 7 P/E ratio is considered worth buying and above 13 P/E ratio indicates time to sell the stock. I bet AAX is trading at less than 4 P/E ratio.

from my subjective point of view, AAX would cross the 51cents , such that the warrant will be "in the money". The time period - i cant predict it.
2016-03-02 17:24 | Report Abuse
To move aax-wa up today - it takes 1.7mill, and to move aax up takes 15.6mill and to move aa up takes 121mill.
So, from the point of utility (% of return), my fund is better utilized buying aax-wa.

jjchan is very sharp. No doubt about it. aax-wa expiry period is 2020. In a bull market, with about 4 years before expiry, this is safe investment. Many people like youknowlah looks at consequences. That is fine. But if you could have a feel of subjective probability of the scenarios surrounding aax and aa , you can somehow ballpark expected value. Expected value is not based on consequences alone but the a product between probability and consequences. So back to youknowlah, what is your feel about the probability of AA and AAX-WA going up when you read the financial statements, the support from institution, the next 4 quarters of environment with low oil price and moving better exchange rate, what do you think ?
2016-03-02 17:05 | Report Abuse
If no need to use money , no point to sell early. Institutional fund going into AA. By right AAX and AAX-WA tags along. Yongch and Nekosan will all go hiding. There is no pride in stock market. If you think you made wrong judgment - Yongch and Nekosan, there is still time to join the wagon. Not like you, I wont sell :p and wont spoil your mood.

AAX falls from 70cents to 15cents when they made 4 quarter of loss and 1 plane crash. The future is bright. I could foresee four more quarters of profit and zero plane crash. Yes, 4 future quarters of profit exceeding RM 100m is not soooo great but I dont see any reason why it can't go back up to 70cents. Any nekosan ?

Goldenshare : I have not read CIMB latest comments on AAX after financial result disclosure. But for AirAsia, CIMB admitted that they have underestimate predicted AirAsia result by a very large amount (prediction : loss 41M , actual profit 600+M). By the same account, I would think that CIMB just like Affin, Alliances and Maybank IB had all underestimated AirAsia and AAX profitability by a large amount. Enjoy this article :
