The cuts in forecast on global demand for oil come amid speculations on the threat of “price war” in OPEC, which accounts for about 40% of global oil supplies.
The market is shrinking and oil suppliers start fighting with each other for the share in global sales, analysts say.

OPEC cuts October oil output at quickest pace over 6 months
The OPEC ministers are due to hold a meeting in Vienna on November 27 which may discuss output quota cuts to halt a fall in world oil prices. However, OPEC member states have no unanimous opinion on the need for output cuts.
Since October, Saudi Arabia has been decreasing prices on Asian contracts. Amid the reports, Venezuelan Foreign Minister Rafael Ramirez announced that the country has drafted proposals to prevent the further fall in oil prices and will offer OPEC to discuss them. Iran has also repeatedly supported reducing oil supplies.
OPEC Secretary General Abdallah Salem el-Badri said earlier this month no sharp drop in oil prices is expected, stressing that “this situation of low prices cannot continue.” He blamed the fall on “speculations” and warned against panicking.

Oil prices are plummeting. The US price for a barrel of crude has fallen to less than $78 a barrel, the lowest level in years. That comes hard on the heels of a summer-long 25% dip in prices that pushed gas at the pump below $3 a gallon – the lowest level since 2010.
It’s not a real crash: the world doesn’t really need more oil. Much of the drop is Saudi Arabia’s latest pricing shenanigans in negotiating with Opec......"extract from googles ( cut paste)"

My argument very simple if Suma drops to 20-25 can BE materialise?..Tycoons will come to rescue d RI exercise not to save my skin but to double their profit becoz pr control is decided by them n they r getting d free warrants.Again can RI take place..answer this question first b4 we go bla bla bla.

I know sharks trying to break 30 but HS is holding it.Meanwhile 18/11 got fair profit good enough, his friends who r tycoons may come forward to materialise d RI.Don't forget they get free warrants where they may get back their capital so no issues. Now everything centred in Opec but nevertheless RI is going to materialise.Even if we don't subscribe d tycoons will take care.

Lets put it this way, if crude don't go up after d Opec meeting it is something like US bombing themselves...I see disaster...n citizens may blame d President.Occasionally global share market correction is a must, this time crude oil is being used as a tool but there is limit for everything but d question hv we reached d limit? We r trying to be positive becoz of our commitment in Suma...those who hv no hope hv left....to Opec meeting positive!

During this critical period a compony free of debt is considered good.Crude pr cannot go for a free fall, Opec meeting in 2wks time pr may stabilise around 85-95 not to be too optimistic. At this pr, for Suma a small profit is good enough becoz no debts until gas revenue.Next wk 18/11 d profit good enough for Bursa to approve d RI, but pr I guess, between 30-40 hence 40 is just a indicative pr subject to change.I feel d circulars r all ready just to insert d RI pr maybe d next day of 18/11 circulars may released becoz of d 21days gap.During this period Opec meeting n obvioisly production is going to be reduced during d period of exercising d RI to me looks positive. If u follow d media index expected to be optimistic until Christmas.Remember shares hv been badly bashed which US/Europe waiting for this kind of situation.Winter coming good for crude.A lot cash is in Asia for foreigners to earn money for their retirement fund n europeans need money for sesonal holidays n they need hard cash. Some genius r behind d curtain on d pr drop or u can call it d "d great depression of crude"...bla bla foreigners r waiting n all signs looks positive for Suma......"d way I look at it n pl try not to belief me"...hv a good weekend.

Oil higher at US$78
15 NOVEMBER 2014 @ 12:50 AM
LONDON: Oil traded above US$78 a barrel yesterday having earlier hit a four-year low, pressured by excess supply and scepticism that Opec producers will agree to cut output when they meet in Vienna in two weeks’ time.

KINIBIZ A legal expert has refuted a claim made by Deputy Finance Minister Ahmad Maslan that a government letter of support used to back US$3 billion (RM10 billion) in 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) loans is “not an explicit guarantee”.
Tommy Thomas, a prominent lawyer in corporate litigation and public law, yesterday said in a statement to KiniBiz that the letter of support in question obliges the Malaysian government to step in should 1MDB default on its loans.....from M..kini.

QUESTION TIME Perhaps - perhaps - the auditor-general may not be able to or have to audit the accounts of scandal-ridden national strategic investment fund 1Malaysia Development Bhd or 1MDB. But surely he can make an assessment of the impact of 1MDB on government finances and the threats it might pose. And more.
It’s easy for auditor-general Ambrin Buang to throw his hands up in the air and say there is no reason for him to audit 1MDB because it has already been audited by a big four accounting firm - Deloitte.......@Ring extract from M...kini?????????

During this time of oil crisis d sad part of our country Palm oil stocks should contribute some positive points for our index.Gentlemen i wish to create some awareness n it is my duty as a citizen, i was working 40 yrs in oil palm estates.Look at UP/Klk/IOI their "yield" is more then 23mt n also hitting 25mt but 1,000,000 ha controlled by GLC only 20mt.If this GLC can contribute high yield their share price will cross rm20 with a 100% dividend now 1MDB dwindled with debts...what is happening???????

3 Sell your rights to other investors
In some cases, rights are not transferable. These are known as "non-renounceable rights". But in most cases, your rights allow you to decide whether you want to take up the option to buy the shares or sell your rights to other investors or to the underwriter. Rights that can be traded are called "renounceable rights", and after they have been traded, the rights are known as "nil-paid rights".
@ Ring n @616198...tks this article gives excellent input but I need two answers 1) BE is an additional asset so there is no dilution of shares. 2)Although If you r not subscribing to d RI but d RI will be still credited to yr account n u r suppose to pay for it or u can sell n d period is one week....am I correct...tks.

Suma exit from PN17 @ lightning speed n we were caught by surprise, likewise we may receive d circulars for d EGM immediately after 18/11 n RI approval may run parallel.21 days notice must be given to shareholders prior to EGM.During this crucial period price hv to hold firm otherwise ppl may not subscribe. Also remember RI is not dilution of shares as interpreted by some in this forum.BE NTA value itself worth 55ct so after d purchase NTA value itself may worth more then 45ct.So d company fundamental is strong. At current rate of crude pr even US can collapse so rebound is positive.Once RI approved, it is going to be fully subscribed, d tycoons r there to take care. All i know they may push d mother sky high n sell d Warrants at a high price...as d saying goes "make hay when d sun shines"....my2c opinion!!!
