I think there is a range of fair price given by IBs stated as their TPs.

The RM15 billion debt is non-current liability, i.e. long term debt (no need to be paid with the RM1.8 billion cash).
2018-03-07 23:01 | Report Abuse
@newbie1111: If u want to talk about the RM22 billion total liability then u must also not ignore that it has RM34 billion total assets. Even if u remove the RM8 billion in goodwill from the assets, SAPNRG will still have RM26 billion of assets (excluding goodwill).
2018-03-07 22:47 | Report Abuse
@Betkaukau: Don't b ridiculous, the price won't drop to 20 sen! SAPNRG has RM1.8 billion of CASH and if u divide that by 5 billion shares it will give u 36 sen (in cash) per share. If the price drop to 20 sen then anybody buying at 20 sen will get 36 sen CASH... u think that is possible!? So if tomorrow the price drop to 40++ sen (i.e. very close to the 36 sen CASH) then better grab SAPNRG's shares as much & as fast as possible!! No need to think anymore.

If short sellers can pocket RM5 - 10 million profit everyday, they will become more and more daring to continue shorting this counter until there is clearly a rebound... then they will stop shorting.
2018-03-07 15:00 | Report Abuse
@spinninglotus: No, short sellers don't need to use RM30 million to buy back shares... maybe need only RM20 million (they pocket RM10 million profit at the expense of retail investors).

Better ask SAP management to suspend SAP trading until after Q report out.

Who sold a lot is not that important (they have their own reason to do so).... the important thing is we know that we r buying shares of a company that made more than RM200 million profit after tax for 2017. So, how can UMWOG (with RM1 billion loss in 2017) compare with SAPNRG?

@ hlafdz: And the Dow Jones Index is currently up 140 points, crude oil also up.... so u can sleep well tonight.

No lah.... the impairment is not RM3bn -4bn. Based on the company's unaudited accounts, the impairment is only RM282.68 million and there is a profit after tax of RM206.16 million for the year 2017. I actually knew about this for some time already. So isn't this a really good news!? See for yourself.... click the link below.

UMWOG lost RM1 billion in 2016 and lost RM1 billion again in 2017.... always issue a few billion rights issue (dilute share value in order to get cash for survival). Do u think UMWOG will make RM2 billion in 2018 to cover the losses in 2016 & 2017 like what Pmaster did to cover his huge loss in his 1st investment in SAPNRG? Only crazy people will invest in UMWOG.
2018-02-28 17:56 | Report Abuse
At least SAPNRG did not do as bad as UMWOG today. SAPNRG dropped 2 sen = -2.9% but UMWOG dropped 1 sen = -3.0%

As I said... fund managers need to make portfolio adjustment on last day of month & then re-adjustment on 1st day of next month.
2018-02-28 15:47 | Report Abuse
@ Betkaukau: I'm not sure about that... usually on the last day of the month the price drop a lot & on the 1st day of next month it will shoot up (but I cannot guarantee this lah.... as I say usually only but sometimes it is not like that).
2018-02-28 15:38 | Report Abuse
UMWOG dropped 4.5% today.... Pmaster should have no problem buying up all his RM2 million target. I hope he really did what he said here.
2018-02-28 15:30 | Report Abuse
If u read Pmaster's comments too much.... u will b too afraid to buy when it was the best time to buy.
2018-02-28 11:58 | Report Abuse
Those who r planning to buy or sell today..... just remember that today's price movement may b due to end of month effect (on last day of every month big institutional funds adjusting their portfolio). So, depending on your own positions (how many shares u r currently holding) it may b a good time to buy or mayb not if u r already holding too much. But if want to sell, today is definitely a bad time to sell.

My guess is the Q4 will have less than RM100 million loss & the Year ending Jan 2018 will have profit of more than RM200 million. (Please note: I am only guessing... so don't take me too seriously about the profit/loss.)
2018-02-28 10:51 | Report Abuse
@IloveRX: For short-sellers like u also no show.... bcoz it looks like SAPNRG don't want to go too low.
2018-02-28 09:35 | Report Abuse
Look at the Q to sell at 0.690, now only around 2 million. Yesterday afternoon b4 closing there were 12 million Q to sell. What happened to the 12 million Q to sell yesterday afternoon? Y didn't they sell off this morning? The 12 million Q to sell at 0.690 yesterday afternoon were "fake sell' by whoever wanted to manipulate the price.

Interestingly, Airasia also had huge debt problem (like SAPNRG) at that time & they also resort to listing Airasia Indonesia to raise funds & reduce debt (just like what SAPNRG is planning to do now by listing its E&P). That's the little hope there.
2018-02-27 15:23 | Report Abuse
I'm not too sure about the RM200+ millions quarter loss (I didn't research into it); I only based on very clear (and positive) statements made by Tony Fernandez & read several news reports (incidentally any implied loss was only a matter of accounting technicality).
2018-02-27 15:08 | Report Abuse
@Betkaukau: U have to b careful with comparison with Airasia... there r differences between Airasia & SAPNRG. Airasia has been profitable (only lower profits & some accounting problem) when its price fell to 70 sens but SAPNRG is clearly losing hundreds of millions RM. While I think it is worth betting on SAPNRG at prices lower than 70 sen but whether it can fly or not that is very difficult to say. Buy at own risk.

Don't forget Pmaster claimed that he made RM3 million profit from his 2nd & 3rd investments within 3 weeks by only making 2 or 3 contra trades per day.

1st investment average cost RM1.30; 2nd investment average cost RM0.80; 3rd investment average cost RM0.70; if sell all 1st, 2nd & 3rd investment at RM0.90... how can the profit from 2nd & 3rd investment cover the loss in the 1st investment? (Pmaster said all his 1st, 2nd & 3rd investments are equal in amount). Simple mathematics calculation will tell u he is telling big lies!

"hlafdz u can only short sell if u have existing shares.."
That is not short-selling.... that is only ordinary selling (reverse contra).

I know how short-selling works. U have to pay "extra fee" on top of the regular commission for the privilege of short-selling (this is the interest payment to the IB for using the IB's share to sell). When u buy back the shares, the shares go back to the IB. Y pay the "extra fee" when u can sell your own shares without the "extra fee"?
2018-02-27 10:25 | Report Abuse
@hlafdz: Short selling means borrowing shares from IB to sell (must pay interest for borrowing). Y would Pmaster borrow shares from IB with interest payment when he already has a few million shares to sell (interest free)?
