Bought back some at 0.730 (test water).

Currently, EPF still hold 7.74% of SAPNRG's shares. It only needs to sell another 164.3 million shares to reduce it's shareholding to less than 5% & cease to be a substantial shareholder of SAPNRG. If EPF continue its selling, it will cease to be a substantial shareholder b4 end of March 2018. I think that's the direction where EPF is heading (so obvious).

@ David Gunter: As of 13 Dec 2017, EPF held more than 689 million shares in SAPNRG but at end of Jan (30 Jan 2018) it has only 464 million shares. That means it has sold off around 225 million shares in 1 and half months. If EPF's move is merely as a transactional investor, it should end up with more or less around 689 millions shares of SAPNRG every month & not with less & less SAPNRG's shares with hundreds of millions less shares.

The KLCI dropped 40.62 points, that's -2.19% but BJCORP dropped 1 sen, that's -2.99% (almost -3%) & u call BJCORP a very strong stock? Sometimes I wonder whether calvintaneng knows how to calculate or not .... or maybe trying to bluff people outright!

FD pays 3% to 4% interest but SAPNRG's price drop 3% everyday!

All the good news about SAPNRG come out too late!! I will be surprised if the price will not drop below 0.600.

May drop below RM30.00 if the global stock market meltdown continue for the next few days.

Cut-loss at 0.320 today.... (sold off everything) can't wait for the Quarter Report!

For today, the price is likely to hold around 0.705 to 0.710 but still it is lower than last Friday's close at 0.735 (around 3% drop in price per day). SAPNRG has clearly re-established its long term downtrend. So, in the short term it doesn't look good at all. But maybe 1 or 2 months later, the situation may improve.

The price came up back to pre-rights issue price already.... so if anyone thinks this is a con job & wants to get out of SPSETIA then can get out now without any loss.

Looks like the the recent rebound in price was short-life..... if holding too many BAT's stock better sell some (cut-loss) to reduce burden of huge loss if the price fall further.

Have to b a little patient with this counter. Those Big financial institutions bought the rights issue at RM3.07 & sell immediately at RM3.10 to RM3.14, taking immediate profit. Must give them a few trading days (maybe 1 or 2 weeks) to take immediate profit first b4 price can start shooting up.

As usual, last minute up..... one of the few counters ended green today!

Can't b disappointed with BJCORP today..... one of the few counters that did not end red.

Need to clear the 325 million rights issues shares from profit taking first.

Good! The price will shoot up bcoz of successful implementation of rights issue bringing in RM997.75 million of capital injection (cash).

It will b peanuts if the capital is small but if u have 10 million margin account to play with then it will b really big profits everyday (provided u r expert in contra).

Only expert like hng33 can make contra profit by jumping in & out 5 or 6 times everyday..... most contra players will lose money. We can't blame SAPNRG for contra losses (blame the contra strategy).

Agree with IloveRX, winmal & David Gunter (I'm positive about SAPNRG but at the same time also prepared for any possible downside risk).

EPF will need another 3 months to dispose all its remaining 495 million shares of SAPNRG. So, if u can just hold whatever quantity of SAPNRG's shares u have (don't buy & sell... just hold) for another 3 months then u will be O.K. This is only my opinion... things may b better or worse if u do it my way (no guarantee it will b O.K.... so do it at your own risk). If EPF decides to buy back (and not dispose all) then it's a bonus.

Technically not yet confirm (reversal).... but it looks so obvious isn't it? If people want to wait till reversal is technically confirm b4 buying or topping up then by that time the price will be RM36.50 (UOB's TP). If the price is nearing RM35.50 then it would be too risky to buy.... bcoz anytime may drop severely (even b4 the reversal is confirmed). Always remember this is a long-term downtrend counter.

If want to have good trading performance, must do own analysis (make own decision) & don't b influenced by what other people say (good or bad) or what they do (wait, buy, sell or cut-win). Win or lose money own responsibility (don't blame other people) too.

My understanding is: if split (like what speakup said) then current shareholders will b given shares in new listing (but this is not the likely option chosen by SAPNRG's management team); if IPO (like what hng33 said) then shareholders will not be given shares in new listing but probably may get the option to subscribe shares at a discount like rights issue (this is the very likely option chosen by SAPNRG's management team).

Even though current shareholders own the E&P and they don't get free shares in the event of an IPO, what they will get is a slightly higher share price in the current SAPNRG shares. The reason is: it is just like shareholders (owner of E&P) sell part of what they own & get cash in return; the cash is then used to pay off some of SAPNRG's multi-billion debt. As a result of the pending IPO, SAPNRG should have less debt & more cash but less equity in its E&P (like what hng33 said... probably still own 51% of E&P). So current SAPNRG shareholders don't have to worry about being left with only loss making segments bcoz SAPNRG will still own part of the new E&P (as a parent company).

Today consider good show already..... all the bad predictions did not happen.

BB already changed tactics.... they r now forcing weak retailers to sell & using other small retailers money to push up the price up. Only once in a while they will use their own money to push up.

The good contra players probably bought yesterday while speakup was warning everyone about BNM's rate hike & huge gap down this morning.... they sold all already this morning & now q-ing to buy back.
