Malaysia's offshore oil field services firm Bumi Armada Bhd said today it will lease six marine vessels to Russian oil firm Lukoil-Nizhnevolzhskneft in charter contracts worth up to $280 million (RM900.7 million).

Country Heights Holdings Bhd’s flagship Mines development is getting a new lease of life as Mines Wellness City, an RM11bil mixed use project anchored on a health and wellness theme.

The 120-acre development, to be built around the existing infrastructure in Mines, is an entry point project under the Economic Transformation Programme which aims to position Malaysia as a wellness landmark for the region.

a property project that is gaining traction at the Central Business District is Star Development, a mixed development comprising three towers of residential condominiums, and its retail segment – Star Boulevard, five blocks of retail units – at Jalan Yap Kwan Seng.

The project with a gross developmental value of RM2.2bil is undertaken by Alpine Return Sdn Bhd, a 50:50 joint venture between established property players Symphony Life Bhd (previously known as Bolton Bhd) and United Malayan Land Bhd (UM Land).

Datasonic Group Bhd’s net profit for its third quarter ended Sept 2013 almost tripled to RM23.44mil from RM8.13mil a year ago due to higher revenue and cost management.

Its revenue for the quarter rose 30.6% to RM69.9mil from RM53.5mil a year ago from the supply of smartcards.

Earnings per share stood at 17.37 sen against 6.02 sen a year ago.

Too bad furniture stocks are Sector Negative in many institutions and fund. Commercial banks are wary about the books as well after so many go-bust cases in Muar. These are the possible reasons to the low PE and huge discount to NTA of these stocks. Even high dividend payouts cannot swing the appetite of institutions and fund. I think there are just too many negative news out there for properties. Thanks to these negative news and the fear of budget, price of properties counters are so low. Looks like this is consolidating quite nicely, I think anytime will move, maybe next friday. People are afraid of budget, but epf is not afraid.

I still stand by my strong opinion. But like I said earlier, I do hope I am proved wrong. I shall hope for the best, that I am totally completely wrong in my analysis. Thats all. Best of luck to all invested
