USD10million already spent, more are being spent, cost of doing flying in India is skyrocketing fast. Cost of transfer to KLIA2 is getting higher, airasia is getting rm3 per passenger to cover its additional cost.

MUMBAI: AirAsia will invest an additional $20 million (Rs 119 crore) in its Indian airline venture this year, a senior executive said on Monday.
The Malaysian low fare carrier has already invested $10 million in AirAsia India, the executive said. The next round of investment will come in a couple of months, he added.
AirAsia's board met in Mumbai on Thursday at the office of Tata Sons, one of its Indian shareholders.
An investment at this point in time is crucial for the airline which is soon expected to start operations. It obtained its flying permit from the country's aviation regulator on May 7, after months of clearing through gruelling safety and capability tests.
The months of waiting with an aircraft and crew on ground meant that its costs kept increasing.
The airline is currently spending $30 a minute and will open its balance sheet with a total cost of $5 million on its books, the executive said.

CIMB,MIDF, Maybank are all wrong last year, very slow in reducing their target prices. MAS if restructure, will still hit war at airasia until next year. Last financial results of airasia was really bad, but punters from overseas pushed up airasia from 2.30 to 2.50. I forfeited that 20 cents profit and sold all airasia. After that it came straight down to 2.20. Now, the same foreign punters will push up airasia next Monday after financial results announcement, which will be very bad too. Kind of like sucker rally. I will interpret its business future before going long or short term. At the moment, today I sold all my airasia holding, even if it can go to 2.50 again, I will not buy unless it's fundamental improves. Otherwise I see worse to come this year and next year.

MAS results showed yield compression of 9%, the same will go to airasia with yield compression expected at 6-9%, that will translate into 18-27% earnings drop. Coupled with 27% jump in oil price with drop in USD, airasia's financial results will be very ugly. Passengers from China drop significantly during this period, Thailand earning drop, Malaysia drop, phollipine drop, Japan start up loss, Indonesia earning drop... No more eyes to see. Hahahaha....

India Spicejets and the rest of the airlines are starting great war with airasia India by taking up all customers' booking in advance with 50% reduction in air ticket prices since February onwards. By the time airasia India takes flight to sky, all customers already book flight tickets, lots of start up losses expected from airasia. Be careful to punters who think he can earn 4-8 cents now, but lose 50 cents later.

AA is "falsely" breaking to uptrend due to CIMB analyst Raymond Yap's "assumption" of yield recovery. However, MAS is introducing 50% reduction in flight tickets sales for all the second half 2014 domestic and international destinations! This great war of lowering ticket prices will get worse! Now it looks like overcapacity increase is tremendous and stronger! Excessive capacity expansion all simultaneously regardless of demand will lead to excessive war between all the airlines in the region. Dorky, your suggestions above are suicide mission for airasia. Tony is a superbly smart guy. He will not do mistakes like you. It is extremely inappropriate for Tony to announce on improvement/ upgrading of AA's quality control to the next level to avoid similar incidents...Reasons:
1) Saying so means airasia also has same problems like them.
2) Saying so will annoy other parties, including political parties and current MAHB and our government of Malaysia. It will also annoy China people for accusing airasia of admitting problems and so on....Twisting and twisting of words.
Therefore, the most appropriate actions at the moment is to remain SILENT, and let the relevant authorities to deal with the current unfortunate and sad incidence. We all Malaysians feel deeply regret and sad on the unfortunate incidences that are happening. We all will not want similar incidence to happen again. Showing togetherness in fighting for security and safety in aviation is much better than exploiting current situation for own selfish intention.

How will rm3 per passenger make impact on airasia earnings? Let us see some mathematics-rm3x10million passengers=rm30million=30% of quarterly profit from local bank expectations. Those who say rm3 no impact is naive. Airasia collect rm3, then gives to MAHB. Without rm3 collection, airasia still gives same amount to MAHB. So airasia has SMARTLY transferring part of increased cost from MAHB to passengers. "You all pay to MAHB, not me airasia" hahaha
