Penang is a popular technological hub for local and multinational companies. More factory manufacturing processes would require more water usages
Likewise more people flocking to Penang would require more water consumption too.
So the demand for water is ever increasing.

This is a temporary set back due to slow down in semiconductor demand. It would rebound during the recovery.

No chance to drop to RM0.50 for UWC is a strong fundamental stock . Just my opinion.

No wonder today's price rises. It is likely a response to the favorable latest report from FMT report .

No matter how, it won't go to RM0.50 !!!

The major impact on PBA would be the free usage/discount given to the consumers in Penang for a total sum of about RM11 million from 01-07-2024 to 31-12-2024.
The total discount would be around RM5.5 million per quarter.
So the next quarter profit (01-07-2024 to 30-09-2024) would be around RM50 million.
The capex such installation of pipe and hoses would capitalised and to be written of gradually under depreciations.
So we should see a net profit of

Not for short term but for mid to long term . The share price now is among the lowest comparing the figures for the 52 weeks (RM1.67 -RM3.89)

Moreover, fund manager ABRDN PLC, United Kingdom keeps adding UWC into its investment portfolio.
This is to show that even the fund manager has confidence in UWC

Let Penang and Kedah to settle their disputes peacefully. Kedah should cancel its claim.

The best thing is for Kedah to think twice before Kedah takes legal actions. If Kedah was so adamant and insisted to do it, then Kedah could be a laughing stock for being so unthoughtful and inconsiderate .

Anyway the claim from Kedah against Penang for the water usages cannot be established as there was no precedent case locally and Internationally.

PBA as a utility stock has nothing to do with the news of Intel

Whatever issues raised between Kedah and Penang are the two states' affairs (Between government and government) and would be subject to International laws.
The court case could be dragged on for many years before it could be resolved.
Since it is an issue between government to government , so it would not involve with PBA which is a public limited company.
It is too early to say what would be the Court in Malaysia and International Court's decisions.
Just my opinion.

Penang is a well governed state which has attracted so many local and foreign investments. Of course, it could have aroused some jealeousies from others.

I am proud of Penang and I am proud of Malaysia, my beloved best country.

Let's be united for a better tomorrow and beyond.

PBA is definitely a solid stock with strong fundamentals and much improved profitability and cash rich position.
