I also believe that the best time to buy call warrants is during a bear market, while the best time to buy put warrants is during a bull market, because you can get them at cheap prices. Of course this only applies to those warrants with long expiry dates, long enough for the market direction to reverse its course.

connie, I believe that the stock market moves ahead of the economy and world events. Any drop/fall will happen before the occurrence of events and not after.

I thought H is best bought when market is good (low price)? Wouldn't it be dangerous to chase now?

For KLCI to reach that kind of level (1400), I guess there must be REALLY REALLY bad news, something like: Oil-$30, Ringgit above 5, new scandal, etc.

That the problem with H. Everytime we buy, bomoh will make the CI green.

The foreign funds have sold about 17b from January 2015 to September 2015. How much more do they have? Anyone has any data on this?

Yes, I still have faith in our PM. Actually everything was smooth sailing until people came and kacau him. If the sabotage did not happen, KLCI would not have tanked. So it's not our PM's fault.

I don't think Ah Jib Kor will allow scenario 2 to happen. I have faith in our PM.

I was tracking the rise of HK. During the mini bull run in April/early May, it was trading between 5 to 7 cents on average. Then in August, when all the problems started, it suddenly shot up to about 40 sen within 1-2 weeks. I was just wondering if the same situation would happen to call warrants if and when the market recovers.

I have identified two call warrants with the longest expiry dates, i.e. C3 (June 2016) and C4 (July 2016). Surely the bear market cannot last until next June?

Guys, is it a good idea to buy call warrants (with long expiry dates) in a bear market when prices are low and then hold it until the market recovers, rather than chase for call warrants during a bull market? I noticed that during the mini bull run in April and early May, put warrants were extremely cheap and unpopular. But in hindsight, that was the best time to accumulate put warrants. Can the same situation be applied to call warrants now (only those with long expiry dates of course)? I was thinking of buying some on the cheap now and keep it until next year to reap big rewards when the downtrend eventually ends. Has anyone tried this strategy before?

I am also hoping for a wave 5 upleg, but where is the catalyst going to come from?

For wave 5 upleg to unfold, wave 4 must not fall below a certain level right?

connie, this wave 5 upleg that you mention, is it part of the 1-2-3-4-(5) that is unfolding after the A-B-C downtrend bottomed at 1503?
