That's the thing, if everyone knows a company is making super profits/losses because of covid over the next couple of quarters. It means it is already factored in the share price. That's how the market works since the stock market is forward looking.

If you are that bullish in gloves, then we will see. I am planning to hold onto AirAsia for a few years, longer if their digital business flourishes. We will see whether gloves will yield more returns in share price than AirAsia in the next few years. I am already up since I bought it at the low RM0.60s, you are probably making a loss unless you bought it at the dip in January.

@thor85 How to give loan when they practically spend everything on share buybacks and dividends haha. TopGlove spent RM2.6b+ on share buybacks and RM2b+ on dividends which is practically all their net profits from the pandemic so far. That is the problem with their management, they don't know what to do with the money and they are not forward looking at all, just doing the same thing in and out.

Looking at their counter, it seems like most of their shareholders overlook how much they have spent on share buybacks and dividends.

The 500k figure assumes that Pfizer is the only vaccine approved by NPRA for the 1st quarter. Khairy mentioned in the podcast that the 500k figure will increase if Sinovac and Sputnik gains approval by NPRA since they will be coming extremely soon.

Khairy himself tweeted this, so yeah extremely good news for us since we ordered enough Pfizer vaccines for 50% of the population. Vaccination timelines might change and traveling is going to come back sooner than you think.

It can be any number of reasons, perhaps they are under reporting or the ambassador is being overly cautious. The number of countries in the list can be reduced as well. Covid cases around the world have been decreasing rapidly. I think you are being too pessimistic considering the current trends.

@newbie1111 You left out the named countries conveniently. Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Kazakhstan, Sudan, Egypt and Pakistan. Because they have extremely high covid positive rates.

Yeah, but MIDF gave TopGlove a TP of 10.96 in December last year and guess what? It never reached 10.96, so they lowered it to 8.29 in January. Now the price is 6.00. So go figure whether you should take their TP with a grain of salt.

This news is 3 weeks ago, why is everyone acting so surprised about the pricing? At the date of the announcement, the private placement was assumed to be 68 sens because the max discount they can give is 10% according to the rules and this was at a 9.08% discount, it has since been disclosed to be 67.5 sens which is a 9.82% discount.

Please learn to read as well. When BloomBerg said 7+ years, they were referring to the rates on the day the article was posted. If you check again, it dropped to 6.7 years because every country is ramping up their vaccinations and it will drop more and more.

T cells have been widely understood for a long time.

T cells are the important one, even if you take any other vaccines your antibodies will drop over time but once you get re-exposed to the virus. Your T-cells are the ones that will start to produce the antibodies.

The thing i3lurker posted is correct, but he clearly lacks understanding that t cells are the vital part in immune response. His thinking is that, antibody down = no more immunity from the virus.
