The LDP concession agreement signed by our elected Barisan Nasional (BN) government virtually guaranteed excessive profits for the cronies at the public's expense – a highway robbery at broad daylight! “SHARE” this out!

The total capital cost of construction of the LDP highway is estimated at RM1.3 billion while the projected profit after tax over the 30 year concession period will be RM18.9 billion. Yes, you've read it right. Over a short period of 30 years, Litrak, the LDP concessionaire is practically guaranteed of RM18.7 billion profits relative to an initial cost of RM1.3 billion.

Even if the Government had funded the construction of LDP by issuing generous high yielding treasury bonds at 5% rate, the overall cost of construction would only have amounted to no more than RM5.75 billion.

More than RM10 billions of our hard-earned tax payers' monies are literally siphoned off for the benefit of the few politically connected. As usual, there was also no open or competitive tenders made for the concession rights.

If Pakatan Rakyat comes to power, we will restructure the toll concessions in stages to ultimately abolish tolls. With that, ordinary Malaysians will not have to suffer to pay the unfair toll charges to fill the pockets of the few cronies.

Kementerian Pertahanan telah membuat kontrak pembelian 257 buah kenderaan berperisai-beroda 8x8 (AWV) daripada Defence Technologies Sdn Bhd (Deftech) yang berjumlah RM8 bilion. Deftech telah mengaku bahawa mereka hanya di peringkat membangunkan prototaip, iaitu dalam keadaan belum siap lagi. Ya, RM 8 billion untuk prototaip! Deftech adalah anak syarikat DRM Hicom, kroni Barisan Nasional.

Negara kita membeli kenderaan bukan tempur pada RM31.1 juta setiap satu, harga yang lebih tinggi bukan sahaja daripada kenderaan bukan tempur yang dibeli oleh negara-negara lain, malahan lebih tinggi daripada harga tangki pertempuran yang terbaik di dalam kelasnya!
