My opinions:
Learning Khat is not a major problem as this is a free additional language for you to acquired. I got no objection since knowledge is your permenant assets.
But what I want to say is: the present education is a total failure. They should seriouly look at the examination system they had imposed. Nowaday students passed or failed, everybody will proceed to STM or college? We should filter off student at form 3 levels, either to go up go the upper streams (those with good academy results) or deviated to vacational streams (for those slow learners), as not everybody is good in academy curriculum. Some of the student may be good in hand-on technical studies. Our neighbour country is having this type of good education system and why dont we copy ??
Language is not a hurdle for any nation to develope and improve, for example Japan, korea and china. They still sucess without English. If we like we can still achieve our goal of modernisation and better living standard by using Bahasa Malaysia. Malay language is a language derived from English, Greece and Arabic. It is easier to learn.
The only problem is the religious schools. They segregate all races in the country. You can hold your power forever if the majority of the population is having a same type of religion. That is the reason why some of our greedy and selfish political leaders are playing on the card of "religions". Religion is human's spiritual believe, and it is just serve for that purpose only. "religions will produced extremies and retard national progress". The God will answer to you if only you are wise and hard working.
Please give our friend Anwar a chance to prove himself. It is very stupid for Azmin to mention UMNO and PAS. This underlined his political intention ! Anyway TUN M is already too old to handle the situation. No big fish is caught after one year and three months !

Money from bond is not real. It's IOU with interest (obligation).

Government cannot simply print money (money doesn't fall from the sky).
Printing money can devalue the currency and scare foreign investors away. (Although make tourists happy)

Those who voted PH have made a "Faustian bargain" - i.e. a deal with the devil.

I remember just before GH14, I was vilified, "where have I been", still not "awake", PH going to do all the good things, separation of power etc etc. Well one year and few months on, not much have been achieved, except a lot of rhetoric.

But I suppose in a way it is good as it shows what PH is all about as well as what BN has been up to. Trying to stay positive here, but hard, damn hard.

Going forward, is there a solution, I will say, NO!

The elite (politician from all sides) will want to continue to make the voters dumber (lacking intelligence or good judgment; stupid; dull-witted) by the introduction of nonsensical educational courses - black shoes, swimming courses, now khat (of no relevancy to today's world), so that the voters will continue to vote them and they (the politician) will continue to "rape" the country for their own benefit (only they know exactly what it is, some say to ensure continuity of their legacy, some say to continue one's religion, etc etc, whatever but never the economic improvement of the country or the people).

There are more than just educational issues but suffice here.

It just boil down to the politician willing to sell the country's future (3rd national car - enough said) so long they remain in power.

I posted before that the RM will not ever appreciate to below 4 to the US$ or below 3 to the Singapore dollar. I am now more convinced than ever. Malaysia is in a structural decline!!

As this is an investment site, so how? What future is there for Malaysian companies? Sorry, I do not see much future. Better to look outside Malaysia for decent gains going forward.

Sad isn't it.

The khat thing has a political motive behind. It is to gain acceptance from Malay community by forcing political sensitive elements into non-Malay to show the government's muscle to control non-muslim community.

Killing two birds in one stone: Islam and Malay are the ultimate focus of Harapan governance to attract more Malay voters.

Conclusion: back to square one, the 1980s, the first national car era.
