WOW! OPCOM JUST POSTED ITS 4TH CONSECUTIVE QR NET LOSS. OPCOM LIKELY TO POST QR NET LOSS IN THE NEXT FEW QUARTERS.
OPCOM AS A LOSS MAKING COMPANY WILL NOT GOING GET ANY PART OF RM21.6 BIL NFP PROJECT. THATS WHY MAHATHIR'S SON SOLD A LOT OF OPCOM'S SHARE IN SEP & OCT 2019.
NFP PROJECT IS FOR BIG TELCO & TENAGA WITH GOOD STRONG FINANCIAL STANDING.
Even if Opcom can get small part of the fiberisation cake, from past experience the margin is very small. But then again i'ts stock price can go crazy without much fundamental support.
possibly on speculation the fiber optic cable manufacturer will be a beneficiary of Malaysia's planned National Fiberisation and Connectivity Plan (NFCP) to develop the country’s broadband infrastructure.
should drop below 0.5 because all investors don't like TunM. If now voting to choose let TunM Step down now or losing money in OPCOM. I think 85%of investor shall choose losing money in OPCOM rather let TunM stay in government.

Since Malaysia has allotted Rm50.3 billions for fiberisation there will be an increase for fiber optic demand
And Opcom official statement is that Opcom is the largest fiber optics manufacturer in Malaysia
And Datuk Mukhriz apparently selling Opcom shares from open market
What can we deduce from the news and the actions?
1. Where will Malaysia get it's fiber optic supply? Import from China? Of course not. Malaysia has its own fiber optic factory so it has the advantage
Malaysia will get it's fiber optic supply from Opcom. Telekom does not manufacture fiber just like sp setia, ecoworld or mahsing do not manufacture cement
So all telcos and internet provider must go to Opcom to buy their fiber optics
2. Is Datuk Mukhriz disposing his Opcom shares completely ?
No. He is still the majority share holder of Opcom even after some selling
Why did he sell?
The answer is sensitive. He has to sell to show he is impartial to fiberisation thrust to benefit Tun M's son company. This will pacify opposition
From all aspects we know this is now a fact
And it has become concrete reality
Malaysia is moving into the Digital Economy. No doubt about that.
Opcom is still the biggest fiber optic manufacturer in Malaysia. Again no doubt about that.
The only doubts left are in the fickle mindedness of I'll informed less educated investors
For Calvin and his friends we are buying Opcom like never before
See Statement From Opcom Website
OUR BUSINESSES Throughout these years, we at OPCOM are constant in our commitment to be the leading fiber optic manufacturer in Malaysia. We have built leading position and continue enhance our values with strategies combining other business.
These businesses are build for long-term, sustainable and competitive advantage. Our goal is to build better connectivity. We have developed these sectors that operates independently and at the same time compliments each other to ensure a good growth and unique model for the Company.
In Year 2007 before US subprime market crash i had more than 130 counters
I sold off all 130 counters but kept only One stock - OPCOM
OPCOM was insulated and isolated from world market turmoil because Malaysia Govt got Cyberjaya and wanted to expand fiber optic reach by FTTH (fiber to the home)
And i was correct .
OPCOM did very well as Telekom made a Rm359 million orders for fiber optic cables which results in 2 limit ups for OPCOM from 30 sen to over Rm1.00
Now it looks like world market again facing trade war and Govt implements internal stimulation by Rm50.3 billions for fiberisation
So if history repeat itself then these will be the very best stocks to buy
