Destiny, I'm still holding tight to it...Perhaps putting away all the price movement and market consideration, you are now the shareholders of this company, how do you look at this company? The prospect? The SWOT? Having read through all the report, your business experience, book wise, street wise and done all the due diligence, i'm sure you can also share with us about your thoughts.
I'm currently holding 300 lots (x100) 30000 units of the shares and I am confident with the REV will bring great profits to the company. We are talking about technology everyday and it is really convenient for the customers to order via the tablets and I believe this will attracts more customers and brings higher revenue and profit to the company.
"I'm owner of several restaurant chain, i seriously facing many problems: Intense competition, revenue drop, profit drop, staff problems (high turn over, strawberry generation, communication problem, sick leave, missing in action, relatives pass away, relatives events etc), demanding customers (expecting high food quality, cheaper price, fast service, good service, mis- communication etc). I hope my customers can spend more by ordering more items so that my revenue and profit can increase"
My wish is: 1) If i cant increase the market share, i must increase the wallet share i.e my customer to spend more. I think REV has this interactive function!
2) if i cant increase my revenue, i must increase the profit by cutting cost. HR cost for a typical waiter / waitress from basic + epf + socso + allowance + benefit = RM 25k - 30k per annum. If i can cut one head, than the saving can be passing down into the value stream + offering higher pay to the good staff so as to keep them worker longer & happier + increase my profit. I think REV can help me to cut at least 50% of head counts.
3) If i can increase the table turning rate by 20 - 30%, then my profit should increase too due to higher sales. I think REV can cut short customer waiting time by 20 - 30%...then i can accept more customers
4) If i can minimize the headache from staff problems, i certainly very very very happy and my blood pressure will back to normal and save my medical bill.. Think REV can solve this problem too.
5) If i can cut more cost, i can do more promotion by cutting selling price by 20% or offer more freebies, my order rate should increase by 30%..My regular customers will be happier and my customer retention rate will be higher too...
5) I do not want to fork out big lumpsum to buy REV, can i rent? just like i rent a photostat machine...I think REV can!
6) Can somebody also rent me the conveyor belt with digital "GPS" coordination, then the food can send directly to customer from kitchen :-)
In business, we look at the VALUE & Potential of the new product offer to market..above are what i see and expect the value created by cuscapi to its customers
So far i understand only a sushi operator has their own system for their own in-house use. Cuscapi has made the effort to offer it to the mass market at much affordable cost.
The business world is a very logical world..while this is a lucrative business, many competitors will present from north south east west....Ultimately the durable competitive advantage that this Cuscapi has that will determined if it can outshine in the competition..Matters like the background, the experience, the business model, the timing, the location, the quality of the leaders and etc will probably the winning factors for cuscapi. Seriously, i dont really worry for the competition as it present in any business segment..that suppose to be Dato Gan & his team's worry...because they got paid and we didnt...agree?
In Malaysia, Cuscapi's clients, among others, are KFC, McDonald's, Pizza Hut, Papa Rich, Sushi King, A&W and TGI Fridays. http://www.cuscapi.com/frame-news.htm
jh, 1) if you buy a house today at 500k, then property price crash and price drop to 250k, will you sell your house? 2) If you own a palm oil tree estate and you put the seed today, will you chop down the tree after 1 year when you know you need at least 3 to 5 years before it bear fruits? 3) if you buy some 916 gold today hope for price appreciation..but some how the gold price drop, will you sell your gold? 4) etc etc
if the answer for all above are Yes, then i think you can realize the paper loss to become physical loss...
But if the answers are no, then i think you know the reason why you should not sell your cuscapi warrant..And you will sell it only if something turn bad in the company but certainly not because of price up or down..
Thanks Darren and YiStock. Actually from my trading experience, my answer for the 3 questions is NO. Cut loss will always be the last choice for my case.
But I always made wrong decision, either missed the chance to take profit or sell at good price. I believe that something go down must have the chance to go up, but this is not for all counters. Actually my first entry is 0.335, when up to 0.39 got 1k profit, so i asked my remaiser but she said hold, and then i missed that opportunity.
From my practice, i am quite patient actually (for example myeg for 3 months but with good profit, tmclife-wa 1 year with a few k loss >.<). My question in mind is: Should i do something in between? For example sell at 0.28 and buy back at 0.24 something like that? I worry i make mistake again.
I believe REV is a good idea in F&B, and agree with your post on 07/12/2013 09:25. But i don't really know the ability of the management team to achieve the big ambition and realize the profit. This is the worrying part from my point of view, and I started to doubt since there are delays for quite a period. Other than that, China and middle-east market is always interesting. and the warrant is until 2018, so no worries for this.
I learn things from every trade, and still there a lot of things for me to learn. Thanks and please advise me if any. I wish to learn some knowledge from you guys (Pro) also. =D
jh, while we are doubt about the ability of the management team, we always refer back to their track record, their clientele, the Q report and numbers, then we have certain level of confidence built. Since an investment is measured based on a decade long to 3 decades long..passion and patience is virtue...I suppose you are trying to time the market high and low..which is forbidden by warren buffett and coldeye. Happy investing :-)
Good point, may treat it as long term investment, haha, only the next/next few quarter reports will tell the truth (hopefully it is). Thanks a lot YiStock. Happy Investing too. =D
jh27, I think most of your mistakes are buying at higher price / overbought. Enter at a wrong price.I bought cuscapi at 0.245 then sell when higher buy again at 0.385 then sell at 0.410 , 2 days later buy back again at 0.410. I'll take profit from time to time and keep tracking the company announcement especially Q result. Do install chartnexus so you can time you buy and sell more accurately. It is really helpful. Hold your fire when everyone is buying. Always buy on weakness no matter it is for short or long term. Happy investing :)
Yes, thanks Darren. You are right, i always bought at high price, that's why always capital lock-up for long period. You mentioned the similar point by 台湾股神胡立阳. After knowing this point, i try to restructure my portfolio. But again, this entry was mistake (胡立阳 said this is not easy for normal people to do so). Actually i try to trade like what you did, i guess i need some time to achieve that.
2014 is foreseable year of rising in living cost...we got to make sure our money work really really really hard..Or else, you got to work very very very very hard...
