U.S. seizes Malaysia's Top Glove shipment on forced labour concerns Reuters
The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) said on Wednesday it seized a shipment of disposable gloves from Malaysia's Top Glove Corp Bhd (TPGC.KL) estimated to be worth $518,000, on "indications" they were made by forced labour.
Top Glove Corp Bhd is working closely with the US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to resolve the withhold release order (WRO) and finding related to a seized nitrile gloves shipment in Cleveland due to an alleged forced labour issue.
The world’s largest glove manufacturer said it is working with the CBP to expedite the resolution and revocation or modification of the WRO and finding.
