Guys general elections always have an effect on this stock. I know this, as I am only a few days younger then Tun Mahathir.
Anyway, this stock should take a dive just before elections and shoot to the sky if BN wins. BN always wins anyway, but there is this Geely effect. I wonder how will this play out?

Malaysia becomes Asia’s worst stock market as election looms

KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 21): Malaysia’s FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI Index has turned out to be the worst Asian equity gauge so far this year, with less than 5% growth.

And an undetermined election date isn’t helping.

Even as it received the most foreign inflows this year in Southeast Asia, the nation’s benchmark measure has continued to lag behind all its major regional peers from Hong Kong to India — some of whose gauges have rallied more than 25% this year.

Malaysia is due for a general election by August 2018, but there’s been speculation Prime Minister Najib Razak may call it sooner to capitalize on a feel-good budget and an opposition in disarray.

“There’s some uncertainties weighing down the market, but there are also positive factors like oil, strong exports and the solid economic growth supporting it,” Danny Wong Teck Meng, chief executive officer of Areca Capital Sdn Bhd, said by phone.

Still, with earnings season in full swing, some surprises could provide catalysts for a more positive sentiment, he added.

Went to see new myvi today. Unbelievable feature with that price tag. I think can tapow proton easily and give a stiff challenge to honda jazz. Will proton drag down drb somemore despite sold 49%? Something to lookout for in next few QR.....lol...

4444, 30th Sept quarter results won't be as good as future results. As 30th Sept, DRB still carry 100% of Proton loss. We will see great improvement when the 31st Dec Quarter results come out.

Bro! just down 2cents and inorder for drb to fully recovered its financial status it needs several years with huge impairment losses from the past but l have full confidence that geely with its 49%stake holders can obviously turn it into a profits making company as proton sales have been picking up and with coming future innovations from the management teams.
