This company is the sole manufacturer of cement in Sarawak with two grinding plants, one in Kuching (established in 1974) and one in Bintulu (established in 1998), with a combined rated capacity of 1.6 million MT per year. http://www.cmsb.com.my/business-divisions/cement/
Conglomerate CMS, which sees itself as one of the best proxy for listed investments in Sarawak’s accelerated economic growth, is widely seen as the project’s main beneficiary as a supplier of road construction materials. The group is Sarawak’s largest supplier of cement and aggregrate.
According to group managing director Datuk Richard Curtis, CMS’s total cement production capacity will be raised by 60% to 2.75 million tonnes per annum by June when its new RM190mil grinding plant is fully operational.
The increased capacity will enable the group to meet the growing demand in Sarawak while enabling its to potentially export cement products to nearby countries.
CMS group owns five quarries with an annual rated capacity of 3.45 million tonnes and eight premix plants in major towns statewide with a combined rated capacity of 1,440 tonnes per hour. The group also owns a 15-tonne-per hour bitumen emulsion plant.
The group has some 60% market share in premix and bitumen emulsion markets in Sarawak. CMS maintains 6,340 km of state and federal roads in Sarawak under two concessionaries.
People's have totally lost trusts and faith in the Bugis pirate with his empty promises . To construct the pan malaysia borneo highway is still a major concerned with the oil prices hitting another downturns . The sudden dropped of cmsb share price has significant impact on the Sarawak election .
If BN win sure Pan Borneo Highway will go ahead and demand for CMSB cement and other works will increase. Be greedy when others are fearful(BN will lose).
Sign of dipping below 4.00 . Slopy trading .......going forward and reverse . ......repeating and no one can tell when it stop . Buying below 4 is much safer .
