In the first place, MAS made the comment that its' OneWorld Alliance partner wants to buy into MAS. Perhaps, Etihad wants to buy it for cheap hence denying it.

MAS NTA is 24 sen and cash on hand approx. 1+ billion that can last about a year. Khazanah holds about 69%. Definitely,Khazanah won't sell it all. At least Etihad will get 20% from Khazanah and the rest it has to buy from the market.

I recalled TM also denied talks with Gpacket on take over. But 2 months after that, TM bought over Gpacket. This is how business works. Either u take it or leave it. No one is forcing you.
Out of 360,839,300 volume today, over 75% is bought over 0.250, who want to loss money in one day? If we trade base on rumors and sell it when panic for sure we cant make a single cents out of it... Of course it might sounds stupid, but I don't think government will ever let our national courier down, how will their cronies make money by then?
I guess sometime we have to lay steady when surrounding is panic ~
There's no concrete restructuring on the table yet. Only comment & no action. Etihad had many joint venture between airlines and what makes you think they interested to buy mas when the union had the backing of the government? Without sacking, there won't be any successful reform. Over hired , bad management and corruption within the airline itself was the main problems. How to restructure? What fundamental is there to support the price?
