Tomorrow will be a big drop coz funds bought a fair bit of this stock and some of them have investment policies they have to follow, whether they like or believe in the company.

Despite what fundamentals you believe this counter has, this is likely scenario.

I heard OTB recommended to buy this share in early July 2017 and confident that Hiaptek will grow 200% in 2017. Potential gain is more than 100%. No need to worry. OTB sifu is always “right”. Believe him, u will laugh to bank and will not jump off the cliffs.

My comment for this quarter result

1) The decreased in sales volume was principally due to the festive season - expect to pick up going forward.

2)The due to the higher Share of Loss of JCE of RM154.99 million) in Q4FY2017. -Next quarter unlike to have such impairment

3) one-off Fair Value Adjustment of RM9.46 million from the early redemption of the Convertible Bonds. No such adjustment in next quarter.

Exclude the above the profit still not bad. I will buy on weakness. My target price still 60 cents in 1 year time.

GP reduce Qr1-Qr3 ave 50 mil, but Q4 only 28 mil.(Ignore all impairment, admin,other income/exp)
Result not good, still I'm agreed loss is loss.
Tomorrow looking at my unrealized gain 30% reduce.
Close your trading apps from 9-10, let the market calm down only you decide dumb not hold.

do u know the meaning of impairment. its the direct opposite of strengthening of equities/asset. when the asset strengthen u keep quiet. Some asset will lose value, thats why its called impairment.

the real question is. yes it may be a paper loss to the company. but is it on the expense of the company future profibality. No. not at all the fundamental is still the same.
