Correction Johnny Cash! 3 subsudiaries of fairfax group each bought 198,100 shares...you missed out FFHL and Fairfax financial. Whenever they buy...a few companies in the group will purchase the same number of shares. Now 8.19% owned by Fairfax and counting (44 million plus shares)
Correction! For power plants performance must look at profit/loss of associated companies as rkm is an associate.not a subsidiary. It think mudajaya's share of losses of associate companies is not alarming but it also shows that power plants still not firing.
Fortunebullz how you know this is MCA related counter? Hope you do not mind, please give some explaination on this? External fairfax fund is buying this counter, so is this also related to MCA? counter is just consolidating, but not the end of it, my oppinion.
Pls read the Headlines today: silver lining in India? Unit 1 power plant has achieved physical completion and is awaiting the regulatory to issue certificate to START FIRING!
Commercial opperation for first powerplant starts in 4Q15, still we have to look at earnings of 2nd n 3rd quarters, question from my side is are the earnings going to be good?
I am out of here. Another 12K loss. Bought in again at 1.46 average and sold at 1.38 when 1Q out. Might come back when sure of plants firing (especially the 3rd and largest plant). Funds not earning any $$ and I can't wait like Fairfax as they invest for long term. Opportunity cost is high for me.
sold to who? if they sold in open market, that's a different story. But they sold in off market, meaning, there was a investor taking the 30m shares. So, not necessarily bad news.
Wait for announcement by the buyer of the 30 mil (5.6%of K) shares within a few days. Seems to have been done around 1.40 so price will hold around this level for now. Could be existing substantial shareholders Mulpha or Tabung Haji or a fund. Better for Mulpha to get a new captain to steer the ship, I think, than have Ng, Anton or Wee who have outlived their usefulness. Perhaps they will continue to sell down progressively their remaining stake.
Mulpha was a long term substantial shareholder of mj for many yrs but it had not contributed to mj bottomline .Mulpha was just a day trader or short term and was eying fir quick profit fr its investment in mj
it's difficult to buy 30m shares on a lack of liquidity stock such as Mudajaya. We see Fairfax been trying to accumulate for quite a while. Looks like it could be a strategic shareholders. It's definitely a good news for my look at it. Look at the graph, how low can it go further? I bet the floor has reached.
shaking has been done for years, many many weak shareholders already out from it. Now left the rather patients one, which part of them who becomes more shaking when watching quarter and quarter of net loss. Very tough to play stocks, isn't it? Haha!
recent quarter showed net loss narrowed. Next quarter report could be an important one for confidence, however, it's still unlikely to give good results since no good income seen in recent months. Anyways, if there is good news coming from India, that could be helpful.
Uchpinda unit I 360KW power supply has actually been included in chhattisgarh (western india) in CEA power supply from may 2015 onwards. Based on 05/15 report, it showed 0kw supply and it should start firing in 06/15. Let's keep our fingers crossed.
thanks 120453 for the info. dear kkng0819kk, thing is, sometimes company needs to increase liquidity for big investors to buy large number of shares. As you can see, some small tiny companies with major shareholders almost fully controlled the company shares, no fund manager will buy at all, because it's just too easy to be manipulated by that one or few major shareholders. Therefore, major shareholders selling shares is not a way to make judgement, unless we know exactly why he or she was selling those shares for.
