One observation, if you look back at charts over long term, dividends ex date almost always shows a significant sell-off correction. Possibly a pull-back after Mar'23 before it continues to march upward slowly. Current move may taper off 10.50?

Hi Deekay, yes it was a pleasant surprise to see it finally break through the 9.62 price point.

Interestingly, once it broke 9.62 (one of my Fib. price points if you recall my earlier posts), we then saw a significant increase in volume and price, from around 10.30am.

Let's see what Monday brings, perhaps either some consolidation or further upward moves.
Although it had an intraday high of 9.82, it closed at 9.77 which purely coincidently is yet another Fib. price point.

Hi Deekay, interesting to note that this morning's retrace dropped to 9.69, only one cent above the 9.68 Fib point. Good support there, for now anyway.

Rycar8111 : My take is that local institutional buyers, especially kwap and EPF is moving in slowly and other local IBs as well . Net short position is stable at 0.16% but you can see it when there is weak buying support it will be shorted down briefly before buying continues. Only institutional buyers can do this . TNB fundamentals are solid and with US dollars expected to continue to weakened, more money will come in to recession proof stocks. Expect good quarterly earnings as well as TNB earnings corelate with GDP growth rate. Might take a few more weeks to pass 10.00. Many retailers are waiting to sell at this psychological number . Very spectacular run from RM7.89 just over 5 to 6 months ago to RM9.98 and likely should break RM10. Just wonder how long can it last.
